Will Read Again and Again!
Ok. So I would like to start off by saying the following.. I am so in love with LANE! What an amazing book from start to finish. I bought this book not knowing if I would like it or not, I took my chances.. good thing I did because I am definitely going to want to read this book for the rest of my life.Lane and Sadie meet under unfortunate times, as they both have an incurable disease (fictional disease I might add) but it’s so believable. These characters and their friends become a part of your life and you find yourself rooting for them. Books that are written in alternate points of views are definitely my thing, as you all may know. I am absolutely crazy over them! Both Sadie and Lane were described so well, like real teenagers of today’s modern times. The pop culture references were like a breath of fresh reality air, sucking me into this fictional world. I would recommend this book for anyone and everyone who enjoys a dose of true love, and friendship. ♥EGAmazing BookAmazing CharactersAmazing Story

Not quite as good as TBOE, but still a good read
I’m a 47 yo mom of 3 teen boys (non-readers, sadly), and I’ve been a prolific reader my entire life. I read a lot of “chick lit” but started adding some YA novels to my library a couple of years ago and have been lucky to find a few authors I really like. Robin is one of them. Maybe it’s the wisdom and insight that comes with middle-age perspective, but I don’t remember most of the YA books I read 35 yrs ago dealing with social and emotional issues so deeply. Though the plot is much more predictable than “The Beginning of Everything,” this book is another one of those winners. I especially love the underlying message for YA readers about the dangers of “judging a book by its cover” and making assumptions about people. I look forward to more by this author.

Worth finishing when every other book wasn’t.
I’ve been struggling for years to dive back into reading. Then I remembered this book’s trailer coming out back when I still read all the time. I wanted to read it, but I couldn’t get ahold of it yet. It was the last book I had planned on reading before I stopped reading altogether. So I bought it.And now it’s been a week, and I’ve finished it. My god... i forgot how enthralled I could get... I was afraid to read my old favorites for fear my apathy would ruin them, but Robyn Schneider is just as amazing as I remember.I got lost at Latham House. I got lost in Lane and Sadie. I sat at their table at lunch and danced in the woods and cried with them. Damn, this book is so good. Thank you, Robyn, for making me love reading again!

Not bad, could have been better
Not bad. I did enjoy this book, but what I picked up expecting to be a deep emotional novel about love, death, and disease turned out to be a much lighter read. Knowing the author's background with infectious diseases and biology, she has the technical knowledge to have focused more on the TB and been more in-depth, but she chose not to. Too much fluff and filler and dumbing down, and not enough giving teens the intelligence they deserve. This book could have been phenomenal but instead felt watered down

definitely recommend!
This story was so textured and I’ve read it at a funny time, We’re all currently quarantined in our homes due to the covid-19 virus, and while it’s not quite the same it really did make this story feel a bit more real to me. Im sure this story would still be as great even without these real world events happening now because the characters are so well written they feel like people I could know in my real life! I have read another book by Robyn Schneider and loved it so if I find more by this author I’d definitely read them!

Unique and powerful. A swift, romantic read.
"...I no longer believed in second chances, but in the moments before I drifted off to sleep that night, I wondered if maybe Lane was the miracle Latham had promised, and if that miracle would be big enough."The verdict is in, Schneider can write about young love. This book had that same great, tragically dark yet beautiful feel of Schneider's debut novel, yet it's not quite as emotive, in my opinion, although it is still great. The sub characters of this story are intriguing and flesh out this live story to be more than just that. This is a great book by a great writer who set the bar high with her first novel and bravely gives us something else great and unique to savor until the next comes along.

Awesome
I saw a few reviews for this book with the nickname The Fault in Our Alaskas. As a fan of John Green, this seemed appealing. There are quite a few similarities between this book and Green's work. The humor is similar, the characters are intelligent and witty, and the plot is well-paced. If prospective readers of this novel liked John Green 's work, they will most likely enjoy this as well. I certainly did.

Amazing!!
I downloaded this book a while back and came to reading it now and I certainly wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. I love the perspective of both the people and the whole book is wonderfully written. A very good read.

Eye opening read, emotional... but I didn't cry.
This cover stood out to me and a friend was dying to read it so I had to sneak this one into my June reads. It's supposed to be a sadish story but I didn't cry!The story focuses on teens in quarantine at Latham house all with tuberculosis. There's some losses along the way which hit hard. But a goodish ending. For me the story was about the teens enjoying the best of a bad situation. There is a bit of a romance within the story too. A story that makes you realise life is too short. Enjoy it. An eye opening read. I gave it four stars and would highly recommend. Perfect emotional, young adult story. Takes a lot for me too cry over a book.

Bittersweet romance
This is a book for young adults. It is a good book to read when you are sad and need a release. After you cry, you can tell yourself it's not real and walk out into the sunshine. It's well-told and the characters are likable.
