Makita166094-6 Shoulder Strap for the Makita Cordless Blower Model XBU02Z (Blower Sold Separately)

Bought the strap because the blower is a bit heavy and not balanced well in your hand unless you are a body builder. So with the strap the Makita blower is more comfortable to use. Why this strap is not included with the blower is beyond me.

The strap seems to be made well but I bought one for my Makita vacuum and it is too big to fit in the slots. I am going to try grinding it down. The ad for this strap should say that it will not fit the XCV11 vacuum.

Ordered this for my XBU03Z, since it comes with nothing and is designed for everything. A strap is a must, this supposed Makita strap comes in a clear plastic bag, with a printed barcode label on the bag. Not convinced this is a makita part, nonetheless it does fit the makita blower, the swivels on the ends work well no problems adjusting for length. 3 stars since this seems to just be a generic part.

the strap helps hold the blower and makes life much nicer. The blower can get heavy after a while. I am not a young person.

a cushion or foam with the strap would be most helpful

This strap is specifically made for my Makita leaf blower and is comfortable, makes it easier to use my blower. Price is reasonable.

The strap is comfortable and distributes the weight nicely allowing you to work much longer. Easy to attach to blower.

It works OK. The strap bunches up at the connection points. It should have been included with the blower as it gets heavy with extended use.

I bought this strap is as my Makita blower was too heavy to carry over an extended period. In theory it works well. But in actual use, not so good. For one, the strap is too short even when fully extended. I’m only 5’8”(175cm) so if you’re taller, the distance from blower nossle to ground may be excessive which means less efficiency. I unhooked one end of the strap, putting both ends of the strap on to one anchor point to no avail. Made only a slight difference. Also the strap has no shoulder pad, so after a while the strap gorges your neck.
