To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. Provides great warmth with a light weight design that doesn’t restrict movement
This is a great coat and very warm without restricting mobility. My son is 9 and has several coats, but this is the one he wears most. He likes it because the fabric is very soft and sleek. To me it feels a lot like a down coat, despite having polyester fill.The inside fabric is bright silver and very unique. My son calls it his astronaut coat because it reminds him of astronaut suits. It is made with Columbia’s patented Omni-heat thermal reflective material. It works by trapping heat in and allowing your to stay warmer with a lot less bulkiness. It makes it perfect for playing outside. It does not have a hood, but is thin enough that my son can wear his rain coat on top of it. My son prefers winter hats to hoods because they are warmer and offer a closer fit. So I am not upset that it lacks a hood.It does have two fleece lined pockets that keep his hands warm. They are soft and cozy. It does not have zippers or buttons so they are very easily accessible.The coat fits as you would expect for the size. It is large in my son so he will be able to get multiple years out of it. It is a nice quality coat that represents the Columbia brand very well. It is a coat that is both parent and child approved!

SO. WARM.
This jacket is SOOOO warm! It fits true to size and is so comfortable. As with all Columbia products, the quality is amazing. You are definitely getting your money's worth with their clothes! This is a perfect snow jacket as it repels water however it does not have a hood.
