Love this tape, doesn't rot in the sun.
Love this product. I bought it a year and a half ago and tied at least 50 shrubs with a little to spare. I was worried about the Florida sun rotting it, but so far not one single plant has come untied. Can't say the same for the bamboo stakes, which began rotting 8 months after I put them in the ground. No problem though, I just push the stake further into the ground, and I don't even need to undo the tie tape. If you're curious how hard it is to tear, imagine tearing a licorice stick in half. For the price this tape is unbeatable.Pros: Price, doesn't snag on the shrubs, doesn't rot, stretches as shrubs grow.Cons: Probably made in China

sturdy product
I use this stretch tie for tying up vines like roses and clematis. I purchased this particular brand because it duplicated the one from them that I have used for years and ran out of. It is sturdier than some others.

Edited after one year's experience...alternative suggested
Original review:Cumbersome to tie knots with, which means greater chance of losing a leaf in the process. Knots have come loose when knot is not tied tight, which then means the strip can't be used again because it will need to be cut to be removed. My raspberry canes, tied to the trellis, do not stay in place during a strong wind; I need to duct tape the blue ribbon knot to the trellis wire to prevent it from sliding along the wire.Alternatives would be appreciated...thanks.December 2014 addendum:After a year's experience with temperature (cold makes it harder to untie the ribbon's knot) and wind, I am using strips of 2x4" deer fencing secured along the trellis wire as ribbon alternatives. Cut a strip of the fence 12" wide (or 6" wide if you want 2" prongs) and clip off the metal strip along each side of the strip so that to the right and left of the central row of 2x4" cells you have 4" prongs that you can bend in any direction to secure a cane, or use two neighboring prongs to jointly secure a cane in place. If a change in cane position is needed, just bend the prong(s) back to its original position (which I keep facing upward to avoid poking my eyes) to release the cane. That you have prongs at every 2" (or 4") interval prevents the wind from blowing the cane along the trellis wire.

gardeners ribbon
I live in Colorado and use this product indoor for growing plants, mainly tomatoes of all kinds since the price of fresh produce is so high in the Rocky Mountains and organic products are also very hard to find. This tape holds up very well and does not pinch the plants. I use a string netting and 8 foot metal stakes with the plant in 20 gallon containers. Once this plant comes above the 3 foot netting, this tape is placed on the stake and my tomato plants remain straight and the baby tomatoes or the buds never hit the floor and I can easily get to whatever I need for the evening meal.

I highly recommend it! Although garden clips work great for plants ...
If you've never used garden tape before, I highly recommend it! Although garden clips work great for plants with big stalks, sometimes you just need something to help guide a plant where you want it to go, and that's where this tape comes in. Since I put this on my flowers it's been rained on, sat in 80 degree temps, and buffeted by wind. It's still going strong! I'm happy with what I received and the price point is great.

good for tying plants to a trellis or stake - gentle on plant stems
I'm using this to tie plants to supports like a trellis or stakes. It works quite well for that. It's better than twist ties for this purpose, because the gardener's ribbon is very gentle on plant stems and twist ties might not be. The gardener's ribbon is unobtrusive and looks nice and subtle and blends in well with the plant's foliage. It cuts easily with scissors. You get a lot on this roll, and the roll will last a while because a little goes a long way. I'm very glad I got this.

Good product.
I use this to tie up shoots that will be pruned off in the winter. It is strong when needed, and is starting to break down at removal time. Excellent!

Best ribbon to tie your plants with, expands nicely and doesn't cut into the plant.
