Daler-Rowney System3 59ml Acrylic Paint Process Set, 6 x Assorted Vibrant Colours, Multi-Surface, Ideal for Professional Artists & Students

I usually use the System 3 heavy body acrylic paints but thought I'd try these to top up my collection as the box is such good value. The consistency was as expected and thinner than the heavy body version and the paint also waters down well. The box contains every colour you need to start painting and they are great quality with high saturation of pigment. I would highly recommend this set as a starter for acrylic painting.

For those new to acrylic paint, the Daler Rowney System 3 provides a good alternative to the more expensive brands. I am a professional artist and an art teacher. I use Golden acrylics because of their high quality pigments and pigment to binder ratio. They're excellent, but expensive. System 3 are the best quality, lower priced acrylics, and whilst they're not perfect, they are a very good 'first' for experimenting with this medium. The set is a good basis for colour mixing, and if a couple of extra blues are added (I would add cerulean, cobalt and Prussian) they provide all that you need to get started with this medium. I purchased this for our daughter who wants to start painting with acrylics and this was the best value. Very fast delivery too.

Lovely paint, very smooth and easy to use but, wish paint sets would give more white as it’s always used up so quickly.

My arty daughter who is doing GCSE art requested these as they use them at school and she said they were great to work with.Younger daughter also loves them - a little goes a long way and if preserved properly they can be kept wet in the pallet for later use - they don't dry out as quickly as cheaper acrylics.

Being new to using acrylics, these were recommended by a friend at the same art group I go to. For the price,you get a lot of paint for your money, 10 22ml tubes, in a good variety of the staple colours needed. They mix well, and are easily blendable on the canvas. I have used them on 5 12x8 canvas, and a couple of smaller ones, and there is still loads of paint left.For the price I paid I think these are tremendous quality, and now I know which colours I am using most of, I would happily purchase the larger Daler Rowney tubes in individual colours needed, but for a mixed set for anyone starting out with acrylics not wanting a large initial outlay to see if the medium suits them, these are perfect.
