Classic Ships of the Great Lakes

Great book!

It’s great to be able to see the excitement of your grandson receiving this book. Books are a bit out of fashion lately, but he enjoyed the pictures and the descriptions.

Bought this for my dad, and he really liked it. His father was Chief Engineer on these kinds of ships.

This is a must for all who love "Lakers". Having spent summers on the St Mary's River back in the 50's & and 60's and being a life long visitor to the great lakes, this brought back a lot of great memories. Lake fleets seem tame today,compared to the days of steam power. You will find some photos and info on the oldies that you won't find anywhere else. I highly recommend this book to the old boatnerds like me and to the younger folks who love boat watching on the lakes. This is a great photo perspective of the way it was back in the day.

A fantastic book! I personally know Bob Campbell. He has been a friend of our family since the mid-seventies when he befriended my Dad, Captain Roderick Graham, of "The Chief Wawatam". Bob is truly a gifted photographer and storyteller. Also, this book is in Hardcover, not paperback and is sold at a great price.

Good account of a passing era. Pictures and writing. Occasionally I buy a copy read it and give it away. Not a paperback, hard cover.

A lifetime labor of love, a genuine work of passion.

Bob did a great job with his picture collection spanning over 5 decades. A very good book to add for a boatnerd's collection.

Bought as a gift for my brother-in-law with dementia. Very little to read which is perfect for him. Beautiful pictures. I know he will spend hours looking through it.
