This Goya Masarepa Yellow Corn Meal 5 Pounds Bag mixed up well for my gluten free recipes. It is finely ground. When I received it, I put it into a lock and lock container to make sure that I could keep it fresh. Even though this Masarepa Yellow Corn Meal is expensive, a little goes a long way. If you are like me and cannot find Masarepa Yellow Corn Meal in your area, this is a very good product to buy.

I mix this with the white masarepa of the same brand for arepas, and they're good. The bag had a big hole in it though, and it was all over the box when I opened it.

Where I live I cannot find this within a 2 hour radius. So even though this is expensive, I am glad to be able to order it. The White Corn Masarepa is easy to find, but the Yellow is not. I have used the White Corn Masarepa, but I like the Yellow as it is a bit sweeter naturally. I also tried various yellow fine corn meals, but the finest still has a "crunch," and "corn flour" I was able to find still has wheat.

This is my favorite for making Arapas. Top them with some well seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a little lime flavored hot sauce and the world slows down while you eat.
