Miracle-Gro for Christmas Trees, 8 fl. oz. (2-Pack)

So far, seems to work. I have an 8' fraser fir bought from a big box home improvement store. Mix is concentrated and it's one capful to one quart of water. I recommend buying this two-pack as I'm already halfway through the first bottle and it's only December 8th. UPDATE: Dec. 16 Yep, it works! I am now seeing globs of sap on the ends of the branches, the tree is greener, and I'd swear one or two are longer. I have used up one whole bottle of MiracleGro. 10 Stars for a safe and longer-lasting tree!

The 2 problems I have always had with Christmas trees is: needles dropping after a few days and the tree stops drinking a good amount of water quick enough to keep it green and healthy. I am an avid real tree user so outside of last year I have always had a real tree. Last year we got a fake tree because I was over trying to solve these problems. However, with this year being my grandbaby's first Christmas, I decided to try and solve my problems one more time. I read through the reviews on this Christmas tree food and am putting it to the test. I bought the tree Nov 29th, and so far (Dec 3rd) I have already noticed a difference. The tree goes through the water in the stand twice a day. (about 1 gallon total a day) Which is unheard of in previous years trees. I have never had a tree drink so much water. I live in a hot state so usually after the first week the tree is already dying, but so far so good. I have also noticed a pronounced pine smell. Though they are always good to give the house a great smell, my husband and I have noticed it is noticeable even from our bedroom which is a little ways from the the living room. Also side note, after buying this on Amazon, I noticed at Lowe's they have it for $4 if you are able to make it to Lowe's. I recommend having a few bottles as you need a cap full with every quart of water. I will post pictures in about a week to show the comparison, but I have to be honest here, the amount of water the tree is still drinking days later is already an indicator of this Miracle grow doing its job. I also want to point out that I have had ZERO needles drop since bringing it home, which for my hot state, I usually have needles dropping after the first day the tree is up. Buy it, use it religiously and you wont be sorry.

AMAZING! AMAZING! I purchased a live tree on December 8 with some trepidation. Here in So Cal we were in the midst of a record-breaking heat wave and single-digit humidity. Several out-of-control wildfires raged north of where I live. I bought my tree off the lot at Home Depot where it had received no special treatment, i.e. not under cover, not in water. I had never purchased a Christmas tree that early in the month, but since I would be hosting guests the following week, I really wanted to have my tree up and decorated. However, I knew I would also be hosting my extended family on Christmas Eve, too! Would the tree last until then I wondered? To my dismay, Home Depot said they had been out of their "tree saver" for at least 2 weeks. So of course, when I got home I went directly to Amazon and fortunately found this amazing product - MiracleGro for Christmas Trees! The first two days (before MG) the tree "drank" virtually no water. I feared I would be replacing a dead-looking tree before Christmas Eve. So when the Miracle Gro for Christmas Trees arrived, I was only slightly hopeful. Since the tree hadn't used ANY water the prior night, even with a fresh cut, I confess I felt more skepticism than optimism. However, from the first day of using MG, the tree began to suck up water like I've never seen in my 50 years of adulthood. I had to refill the container both morning and evening to keep up with its thirst. The MiracleGro description said that it prevents needle drop. Well I'm here to tell you it DOES! In spite of continued spells of record-breaking hot, dry weather, then having the heater turned on a few cold nights, and the sun beaming in the window daily..this morning on December 28, the tree is as fresh as ever. It's truly unbelievable to me. I'm going to feel sad when I take this still-lively tree to the curb on New Year's Day which is my usual custom. (I took the photo this morning...not a brown needle to be seen.)

I feel that this formula really worked. My tree stayed green and full of needles through the entire month of December. Some would fall, maybe 4 a day, and if you brushed past it a good deal more would fall. But without touching it, the needle dropping was at a minimum. Luckily the tree was out of the path of the A/C vent, and the fan was rarely turned on. The tree did stop taking in water the last week of December. It was drinking A LOT before that. When i removed the tree from the stand I noticed a thin dark slimy layer on the cut trunk surface. Not sure if that was just from a combination of sap and sitting water, or if the MiracleGro had anything to do with it... Either way having a live tree wasn't quite such a pain with this. Only took a few seconds to add to the water when watering.

I don't know if it was just that my Balsam was exceptionally healthy, or that there was some Christmas magic involved, or God decided to cast down a wintry miracle, or if this product with regular watering did the trick. But it is now a year later and my tree has not fully died. We still have it up. I purchased my tree in mid-December of 2023. It was not to be the main tree for Christmas, but rather a tree to celebrate the solstice (I celebrate Christmas too, but use an artificial tree for that). I watered the tree with hot water as needed (every day or every other day) and followed the instructions for this plant food. Before I knew it, it was February and my tree still looked fabulous. This stuff is wonderful (efficient AND fairly priced) at adding a boost to your tree. Use with warm or hot water for better absorption and whenever you water the tree, add a capful of this stuff. I plan on using this for all future trees. Also, you can likely get by with a one-pack, but your mileage may vary. Very pleased with this product.

Excellent results! Following the instructions of one cap per quart of water my tree has lasted from Black Friday until January 13th and the tree is even growing fresh buds. Very pleased with the results from using this Christmas Tree food. The two bulbs of Miracle-Gro are the right amount on hand to preserve a tree as long as this. NOTE: after pouring a cap full of Miracle-Gro be sure to rinse the cap before placing it back on its container. The liquid can become sticky and will leak minutely down onto the container and any surface you keep the container. Simple step.

The product works great, but the packaging desperately needs a redesign. There's no way I've found to dispense the liquid without it dripping on the packaging or the floor, and once it dries it becomes really sticky. I've taken to wiping down the bottle with a wet cloth after every use, and I still find it stuck to the counter the next day.

2021: For the first time EVER my tree outlived the holidays. We bought a fresh tree just after Thanksgiving and used this product as instructed from the start. The tree LIVED clear through mid January. It was sad throw away because the branches and leaves were supple, fresh, and fragrant. Also, there was next to no leaf drop. In the month and a half the tree was up, there was one morning I found leaves on the floor enough to make a note of. I went to the tree and felt it, and it felt as fresh as the day we bought it. Without this product, my tree has lasted MAYBE two weeks with leaves everywhere, dry and brittle branches that snap off. It dries out before I can even decorate it properly. I will always use this product with my trees. I buy the two pack, and I’ll have a little extra for next year. Worth every penny. It’s truly a miracle solution.

Worked well for my tree, but I drank it I didn't get bigger. Well maybe a little fatter.

Did absolutely nothing for the tree. Tree still looked dried out after a week. Even with under floor heating turned off and watered tree everyday. Only need to knock the branches and the needles fall off. Only had the tree for just over a week and used this product as directed.
