My dog would come out of her crate in the afternoon extremely thirsty, so I looked for a no-spill option to give her water during the day. This bottle is perfect for her! It has a large drinking tube, so she doesn't get frustrated trying to get enough water from it like one with a smaller tube caused. I like it so much that I bought the next size down for my other dog.I did replace the plastic bottle for both dogs, as the bottles they come with are kind of small. I just used a large size Aquafina for each, and the clip holds it just fine. We've been using them for almost a year now with no leaking issues, and often the dogs will just pop into their crates for a drink rather than going to the water bowl in the kitchen.

I mean, of course it drips. It has to - your little buddy has to get the water out somehow. But it drips so very little you'll never notice. When I first started my baby chinchilla on this bottle I was a little worried because of how little she appeared to be drinking. Then I had the realization - she wasn't drinking any less, there was just more water left behind because my old bottle dripped all the time! I couldn't be happier with my purchase.I will add one caveat, however, for anyone following in my footsteps. I initially bought this exact item, marked "for chinchillas". That's for ADULT chinchillas. My little girl is barely 2 months old. Whatever the anti-leak mechanism is in these bottles, it makes the release ball just that little bit stiffer, and she couldn't get the water out without biting the nozzle. So, if you have a BABY chinchilla, get the model marked "for hamsters" instead.P.S., I'm keeping the bigger bottle. My little girl IS going to grow up someday. :)

Convenient water bottle for playpen or kennel it is small for small dogs I have a 3lb and a 4lb Yorke and it works perfectly fine, however it is not full 100% leak proof because it does leak with slight movements a few drops here and there but not constant drops to make a puddle. For sure room for improvement but definitely convenient for clean water.

Perfect size for a small training crate and super easy to install.I have a new puppy and before she gets her big girl kennel, she needs to train in the metal crate.She struggles to drink water from the bowl and I was afraid she wasn’t getting enough water.I found this and ordered it because of the installation description.I wanted something that I can easily install and remove since she is a puppy and I don’t want her over doing it to the point that it affects potty training.I’m so happy I purchased this!The bottle is thick and not like a plastic water bottle.The entire thing is sturdy and well made.It stays put and comes off easily.NO LEAKINGBest part is that my puppy had no problem using it.

I was somewhat skeptical about whether or not my 10 week old puppy would catch on as to how to use this. I wanted her to have access to water while in her crate but she would always step in the bowl and tip it spilling water everywhere. When the water bottle arrived we filled it and attached it to her crate. We showed her there water there by putting our finger on the spout and putting her mouth to it and in about 15 seconds or less she was drinking. It doesn’t drip or make a mess. Definitely serves our purpose. I also like the fact that any plastic bottle with a screw top lid will fit the spout. As I sit here writing this review Ivy is drinking from her water bottle. Success!

I have a few of these, well let’s say 10ish, maybe more. They are all of varying colors, but this color leaks for whatever reason and it’s frustrating. I’ve cleaned everything out, inspected it for any obstructions and it still leaks. It’s rather frustrating. By the time I considered returning the window had closed

We live in a very hot area, so even though we keep the A/C and fans running 24/7, it can still get warm inside our house. We crate train our puppy, so I often worry about her getting dehydrated. We tried putting a bowl of water in her crate, but she just kept spilling it. That’s why we bought this to keep in her crate.The water bottle has been a great buy so far. Super easy to install inside her crate and refill whenever it gets empty. It doesn’t leak except when she’s drinking from it, but that’s to be expected, especially since she’s a messy drinker with her water bowl, too.She took to it really quickly, just had to put some peanut butter on the nozzle, and she figured out that she could drink water from it. Highly recommend this to other dog owners who crate train. My dog loves this water bottle!

At first, I kind of hated this product, but after having used it for a few months, I like it a lot. I use a 2-litter soda bottle in place of the bottle it came with, as the size it comes with I would have to fill 3 or 4 times a day. I only find myself filling it once a day with the 2-litter option.When I moved the bottle recently, I realized that if you turn the mechanism the wrong way, it'll have that loose fit that a lot of reviewers seem to mention. It's not turned the right way if you don't hear the CLICK.Be careful when you go tip it up to place it on your pet's crate, because some of the water will spill out of the spout on your way over.

It gives enough water for my dog and doesn’t leak. There is some water spillage while the dog is drinking. This is the best quality of its kind and like that bottles to fit it are easily accessible, although I like the bottle it came with. Perfect!

These are great. Easy to attach, refill. Dogs seem to like them too. I have a pair of Havanese, smallish dogs and they prefer to drink from a bottle than get wet chins in a bowl.

Due to there being 2 ball bearings in the tube rather than one with a spring, not as much water comes out, making it harder for my Shih Tsu to drink from. She ends up biting the tube trying to get more water out of it. Prefer the previous design

I have been through many water bottles over the years and they’ve all leaked and have rusted the metal on my dog crates. They all have “leak proof” in the titles but it’s always a lie ! I was VERY skeptical so I’ve tested it out for a while before my review. It’s very easy for my dog to get the water out. The 16mm bottle is perfect size for my shih tzu. A little water does get in the floor as he drinks so I have a little bowl on the floor to catch the water but it only happens from him drinking. Afterwards it’s back to no leaks. Highly recommend. I’ve already purchased a second one-I like that you can switch which way the water bottle faces without having to remove the holding mechanism off of the crate. So when I leave for the day I simply clip the water bottle to face into the crate and then flip it back around to face outwards during the rest of the time.
