Dancing Through Life:Steps Of Courage and Conviction
This book talks about Candace Cameron Blue experience being on Dancing Of The Stars a life long dream of hers. How she dealt with being a wife, mother, and a dancer. Also at times she talked about her insecurity and religion as well. She mentioned the long, tired hours she had day after day,but also the fun she had as well. The book also included pictured which included many pictures of her dancing by herself,or with dancer partners mostly her main dance partner.Another picture showed her with her husband and children. There was even a picture of her with some of her fellow coworker and friends from the tv shows Full and Fuller House which I especially liked. The only thing I didn't like about the book is the fact that went on and on about having such a low self-esteem and the fact that she wasn't sure a lot if dancing with the stars her being on it would be acceptable in her Christian community. In the end Cameron was able to work things out regarding that.

Fun, faith-filled story of Candace's season on DWTS!
For many years Candace Cameron Bure dreamed of being a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. She wasn't a dancer, but a memorable dance with her father years earlier, along with a genuine love of the show, made her wanna try. When she was notified that she would be part of the season 18 cast, Candace was elated, but also concerned about staying true to herself as a Christian woman. Would the dances, the costumes, and the way she would be portrayed compromise her integrity? She accepted the challenge and had the time of her life. Candace Cameron-Bure takes us through her journey on Dancing With the Stars sharing Bible verses, laughter, tears, stories about the show, and self-discoveries. Dancing Through Life is a fun, lovely story of a celebrity staying true to her faith as she makes a lifelong dream a reality

Fun, Interesting and Most of all, Encouraging! Great read!
I have followed Candace Cameron Bure for decades now, from Full House to Dancing with the Stars and now on Hallmark channel. Having read her previous two books, I knew that I would have to have this one as well. Her books are very easy to read and relate to as it applies to individuals on all levels, whether you are a professional, a parent, or just someone who enjoys hearing others' stories so that you can apply it to your own life. I appreciate Candace's books because, although I am not in the entertainment spotlight, her words make me feel that I can relate my own life to hers. She provides biblical verses and references to personal stories. The biblical references reaffirm that she is someone that I want to look up to, but the personal stories make the book interesting, fun, and relevant to similar struggles of all moms as we juggles life's responsibilities. In this book, while I enjoyed the personal pictures and behind the scene stories from Dancing with the Stars, I especially appreciated her honesty regarding her personal struggles during the journey. I learned that she has REAL relationships with her family and friends. One particular story that tug at my heart strings was a very personal conversation that she had with her daughter. I can particularly relate to that at this point in my life, because I seem to have the same struggle with juggling too many things at once and not paying distinct attention to ONE moment. Candace reminded me that it is important to slow down and enjoy special moments and life lessons. There were parts in this book where I laughed out loud and then seconds later had tears rolling down my eyes. I think this book would help other who are dealing with multiple responsibilities in life. It is a fun, easy read (I read it in ONE day, while traveling) but one that politely gives you life lessons along the way. This book makes me look forward to her next book as well!

I have Candace's other two books and enjoyed her style and her openness to her fans
I have Candace's other two books and enjoyed her style and her openness to her fans. But she also has a sense of privacy and respect for her family, which was also extremely admirable. I've always been a DJ Tanner/Full House fan and looked forward to reading about her recent experience on DWTS (Dancing With The Stars). In this book she gets real. She talks about her experience and the things she learned along the way. It was more than just the physical and emotional draining and stress. A few things I really related to were her struggles to try to please everybody- even people she didn't know online. As a Christian I believe we have a tendency to think more about how our convictions stand in relation to other believer's. Sure we can get wisdom and insight from others, but we need to remember only God can know our hearts and we should stop "fearing man."Another area Candace discussed was kniwing where you stand. Sometimes that looks different from other Christian's, but we need to learn what we value and where our persobal boundaries before we come against a wave of opposition that overcomes us. This gets personal for me as I am exploring more about what my faith means to and how I can articulate my beliefs as a believer in Christ. Sometimes our convictions change, but let it be the fear of man that changes them. Allow the working of the Holy Spirit to work on your heart instead.I recommend this book for people who are either just exploring faith or who are mature in faith. Candace's book will surely offer you some insights and wisdom on your journey. She doesn't get preachy, she just keeps it real. It is an easy read, which I love! It's like she is talking to me personally! And Candace is always so gracious and open with her crazy fans! Not to mention you can certainly enjoy the DWTS behind the sences info straight from someone who has been there!Happy reading!

A very enlightening experience
I grew up watching Candace as DJ Tanner on Full House but when I learned as an adult that she was a Christian, I naturally gravitated to her. Dancing Through Life is a very enlightening recounting of her time on DWTS, mixed together with nuggets of Biblical truth. As an old Christian who is new to Bible study, I enjoyed Candace’s courage and convictions to her faith. I definitely felt like I read this book when I did because God knew much of the little lessons were things I needed to hear. This is the first of Candace’s books that I have read, though I guarantee it won’t be the last.

Inspiring
Great read. Although I am in Australia and haven't seen the Dancing with the stars series that the book is about, I was still able to follow along. This book was very inspiring and encouraging for living your life through God's lenses. I loved Candace's honesty and her vulnerability came across as genuine and authentic. I appreciated the many Bible verses and scripture used throughout the book to give the grounding for her beliefs. I really enjoyed the section at the end of the hook which included Candace's excerpts from her devotional diary. It was encouraging to read as mine reads similar! Thanks, Candace!

Amazing! Required reading for all Christians!
Candace recounts her journey on Dancing with the Stars & how it stretched & strengthened her as a Christian. Now she shares her lessons with us. She has taught me so much about what it means to live as a daughter of God. There's lots of DTWS behind-the-scenes dishing as well!
