Break them into pieces or you cat could end up swallowing it whole
My cats absolutely love these. They are a bit expensive but I was looking for something for one of my cats to nibble on because she has a cardboard box and metal chewing habit that I want to break. I have tried other products and she is just not interested. I allowed her to run away with a stick, under close watch, and sure enough, she had 3/4 of it down her throat before I knew what was happening. Luckily she did not choke but it could be a hazard.
