Worked great for pear season. I work in large batches for canning and this tool helped reduce time for coring and cutting. It’s sharp and is a bit easier to cut yourself forcing it through pears that are not quite ripe. It slides like butter through ripe pears and shaped to perfectly manipulate/angle it to remove everything in one swoop! This also saved my fingers and wrists with other tools I used without wasting too much of the pear. Would definitely recommend.

I had a lot of pears to can this year. Works well to get the stem and core out easily.

This works well for coring pears. I had been using a melon ball maker to remove the seeds of pears, and that worked well for that task, but it left the string behind. This tool also gets the string.

My grandma had one that I borrowed to use for canning pears and I knew I needed to get my own! Once you get the hang of it, it few minimizes the waste from cutting out fruit cores. Very versatile and easy to handle!

Basic item, purchased this one because of perceived value compared to others. Works great. Is a value product, perhaps a little flimsy. If I were using it to core thousands of pears I don't think it would last, but for occasional use it is more than sufficient. I use it for canning pears and am coring 40-50 pears at a time.

Not very good to core apples. Maybe I need to practice more.

This tool is sharp and works great on ripe pears!! Not soft ripe and you want to peel it for canning or drying? Quarter it and cut the core out with a paring knife. Easier.

Works well with pears. I have not tried it on any other fruit.

I would have given this 5 star's, but it was a little expensive. It does exactly what it's supposed to
