This is a great shower head, but it should be for the amount of money I paid for it. That said, I did remove the water regulator. If I'm going to pay this much for a shower head, I want the best use out of it. It was okay with it, but it is much better without it. However, before you decide to remove it, please understand it is very difficult and took me about 30 minutes of pulling and prying with a lot of different tools, but finally I got it. If you decide to remove it yourself, just be careful not to damage the threads when you are trying to get it out. Now it works like a dream. I am on a well and have all the water I could ever want, so there is no need for this (really aggravating).

Haven't installed it yet but I like the gold color. Hopefully when installed it holds up, a little heavy rain shower. Metal & plastic shower hole inserts.

It's a 1.75 gpm, water saver showerhead, so I was concerned about the volume. After having it installed, I love it. You would never know that the showerhead saves water, because somehow, it makes it feel like more water is coming out than my old, non-water saving setup. The product is a genuine Grohe and it's a quality item.

I really love this shower head. It’s pricey for sure, but that’s to be expected with anything Grohe.

I don't normally write reviews, but I'm simply appalled by the quality of so-called German engineering. My shower remodel has just finished, and I had a chance to try it out. I like the look and the water flow, - the only problem the paint has started peeling off. For $500 I was hoping it would last longer than 1.5 months! I have a suspicion it was made in China and not in Germany.

I wanted to try a larger shower head to see if I would like more "coverage" and know that Grohe (while expensive) makes excellent quality products. Other shower heads are made of plastic but this is all metal and you can tell, in part, why it carries the higher price tag.Installation is a breeze -- even for this home repair challenged single semi-elderly mom. Unscrew the old one and screw this one in -- if you are really unlucky, you might need to get a pipe wrench to loosen the old one.I wound up installing on a 2-head shower head system -- one that had an articulating arm that would reach out further from the wall. Part of this was because I was concerned if it was just on the stock short pipe from the wall, it wouldn't extend far enough past my shower caddy to really give me the full effect -- in that respect, I am correct. If you go with this, you will probably want a custom pipe so that this can reach out to the middle of the shower. While you can aim the head and adjust the angle, anything more from just pointing straight down kind of defeats the "rain effect" that is the main point of this head.Water pressure was decent -- it would probably have been great if I didn't have the other shower head still going going (essentially cutting the water pressure in half).The round shape is reassuring because last think you want is a sharp corner while you have shampoo lather in your eyes.This will work with virtually any shower system out of the box -- but in order to truly enjoy it, you are going to want to also get a shower pipe extension to enjoy the full effect of this shower head.One disconcerting thing -- this is a very high polish unit... so if you look up, it is like looking into a mirror -- I'll let you decide for yourself whether this is a "pro" or a "con"![LCVR]

Excellent looks but it failed with the anemic water pressure, my wife was so thrilled once we finished our bathroom remodeling and once she took her first shower I could see her disappointment on this rain shower, well more like a summer sprinkle. We appreciate saving water and saving resources but they pushed it a little too much on this bathroom fixture. I ordered another brand with a flow of 2.5 gpm with excellent reviews from amazon to remediate our situation. Definitely not recommend.
