Yes, you should have no problem over boiling water, We use it for our soups, stews, and more. Just hand wash the machine.

Q: Is this pot stirrer durable? Has someone here used it for a while and could confirm it's still running with no issues? Would really appreciate it.

I would say yes as I have used two of them every summer for several years. I use them to cook down salsa or spaghetti sauce for canning and they are running for several hours at a time. I love them😊
