It's a Workout
I have just started working out with the Battle Rope. Purchased the 1.5 40ft BR for my garage gym. Very good quality and piece of equipment and will last a long time. The rope is heavy, so be ready for a workout. I started with the 1.5 inch as recommended for beginners and feel glad I didn't good for a bigger size. This really works full body; shoulders, back, arms, legs, and core.

Smaller 30’ 1.5” ropes still a brutal workout
You are probably thinking should I get the 1.5” or 2” ropes. Should I get 30’, 40’, or 50’. Most big workout clubs use 2” 50’ ropes. I ordered the 1.5” 30’ ropes. I used to use the 2” 50’ club ropes but after about 3-4 minutes I was burned out. I am looking to build more endurance and cardio so went with the smaller ropes. I’m glad I did. They will kick your butt just like the bigger ropes only in a different way. Rather than slow longer oscillations you can do shorter faster ones that will work you equally hard. Just think bench pressing 225 for ten reps vs 135 for 30 reps. Both will be hard in their own way. Instead of lasting 3 minutes you can go twice as long and work cardio longer on the smaller ropes. I don’t need big ropes for muscle size and development since I use free weights for that. These ropes are for my MMA endurance training and they are perfect for that. Some claim 30’ ropes are too short and will slap their anchor point. I don’t notice any difference in the practical sense of using 50’ vs 30’ ropes. The only thing you will be noticing is the pain in your arms and shoulders. Buy the 30’ ropes if you don’t have space and will not be relocating with more space. If you eventually will have more space you can get 50’ ropes then just pinch them off at 30’ until you relocate where you have more room. If you carry your ropes to the park or outside then get the longer ones. 30’ are perfect for a permanent indoor location where space is tight. The quality seems very good. Out of the box these ropes have very good fluid movement. The sheath seems very durable and doesn’t impede the motion of the ropes. Completely worth every penny spent.

Battle Rope with cover
First, I love battle ropes. I've been using them for years, since my days as a high school athlete. And of course, if pro athletes aredoing it, it's probably a good idea to do too. I knew I would take my battle rope outside to the park on nice days(Spring time soon!), sogetting one with a cover to protect the rope was very important. I also purchased a $10 anchor kit to protect it from rubbing. I've seenpeople wrap it around poles, but just like any thread, it's going to rub up and down. Another reason I like the covered one. I do wish Icould see the awesome colors. Overall, the whip is great on the battle rope after breaking it in for a couple workouts, and the cover shouldprotect if or a long time.

Great rope(s) so far
Arrived in great time and in great shape. Understand it is only one rope that you secure in the middle. 30' overall length means 15' length you're waving up and down, side to side etc. for a great workout. I'm 6'3 and just over two bills. I'm glad I got the 2" diameter. Just heavy enough, really works your grip strength. One reviewer thought it seemed stiff out of the box, but once you start using them the waves roll like you'd expect.

Favorite Excercise!
My favorite wxcercise equiptment at the moment. This is great cardio. I am new to ropes, but I love it! I suffer from asthma and as a result I can’t run making it difficult for me to get my heart rate where I want it (150+). Doing ropes for 15-30 seconds ONCE can get you heart rate elevated to 125+. I do this before workouts to get my heart rate high, and this really kicks butt!

Enjoy it, but modified it slightly.
I do love my battle rope, however when my wife and I use this our hands seem to slide off of the nice ends. We end up grabbing in front of the end piece. Recently I took some 1" thick rope, wrapped it around it around the ends a few time I put some screws in it to keep it from slipping, and wrapped all of that in electrical tape. It feels so much better with a stop at the end. Just my opinion. We prefer it this way.

Not the piece of equipment to “go big or go home” with lol
Great quality. Could of came with a mount but for the price it’s not a must. I ordered the 2” and 50’ rope. It’s hard to do any continuous movements lasting longer than 30 seconds and I’m in decent shape. Don’t order it unless you’re a strong man lol. I’m going to order a 1.5” and 40’ rope when they’re back in stock.
