Pleasantly Surprised
I skeptically bought these shoes. I have had issues finding a decent shoe for my circumstance since Redwing canceled the Postal Shoe #8618 that I had gotten for years - the perfect shoe for me. Sadly, I must find an alternative now. And so, I tried Vasque - this shoe, also sold to me via a Redwing retailer in Lexington, KY sadly is awful. So sorry I wasted the $139 for it. I was skeptical about this Vasque shoe too when I first purchased it because it did NOT come in wide width as per the retailer in Lexington, but it fit "like a glove" like I was told it was "supposed" to fit - not too tight, not too lose, but firm. And so I sadly purchased them. After hiking 5/7 days weekly for 1.5 months and 2 calls to the retailer in Lexington later - they reassured me that the shoes just needed to be broken in more and that the leather would relax and mold to my feet. Well, after all of that and they haven't - guess what - they won't! Redwing through this lousy sales person lost me as a customer, as has Vasque with this experience. And so I continued my search for a replacement shoe. Figuring an online experience would only wind up twice as bad as this, I reluctantly purchased these orthofeet slip on shoes. First of all, unlike the Vasque - they actually DO come in a wide width. They are rather nice looking - somewhat dressy and so I will not and do not use them for hiking (unlike the Vasque sneakers), nor will I use them for work because they are too nice looking and also, I am still not sure they will be sufficient to stand up to the workplace. These are nice, wide width (the toes and across the ball of the feet - the box was/is wide enough that they do not squeeze my feet at all - perfect fit!), well cushioned (they come with different inserts so you can find the correct fit for you. I have worn them periodically since this purchase and never had an uncomfortable moment with them. What a difference from that Vasque sneaker! Still do not feel these are sturdy enough to be wearing for work and so I don't - I will try to find another shoe for that. For work, I need a shoe that is super cushioned with a very sturdy sole that will stand up to being walked on and standing on concrete floors all day. They must also be slip resistant and liquid proof as I work in a laboratory so I spend most of my 8 hr. shift standing and walking back and forth between benches and lab areas with the possibility of chemical spills. So I need a close toed, liquid resistant and slip resistant shoe. Unsure what that will be yet.I am pleasantly surprised with this shoe and I love it. I hope I will be able to find another style for my work through this company.

Problem with rubber sole
Shoe fit well and appeared to be a quality product. After the 2nd wearing I notice the rubber on the side was peeling off. I looked at the bottom of the shoe and big hunks of the sole were missing. I did not have any problems with a refund. I was disappointed the shoe fell apart as it was so comfortable. I ordered a pair of boots from the company and haven't had a problem. I will possibility try another style to see what happens as it is a perfect shoe for my foot problems.

Shoe Runs Narrow
I ordered my usual wide size. I could barely get my smaller foot, my right foot) into the shoe, it squeezed right over my arch. And it was too high on the front. I tried both shoes for probably a half hour and had to give up. I have had marks on my feet for several days. It is a good looking shoe but would have needed to order at least a half size larger. And not sure they would still have been large enough.

Fits a little loose
I purchased size 10 x-wide for my size 10 very wide feet. The width is perfect, no need for adjustment. I read that you should purchase 1/2 size bigger, but these are very roomy. In fact, a little too roomy in the heel, which is why the 4 rating. Wearing these with socks works very well, still roomy enough. Very comfortable.

Three months ago, I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and needed a comfortable, stylish shoe for work that provided good arch support. I LOVE these shoes. Here's why:1) COMFORT - These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Even with plantar fasciitis, my foot feels good, especially the heel, which can often be painful. The width is perfect (I wear a medium to wide shoe) and it feels like I'm walking on a cloud. The sole provides good traction.2) FIT - This shoe comes with an "anatomical insole" plus two "fitting spacers" that allow you to customize the best fit for you. Just add one or more of the spacers to make the shoe fit more snug. While the insole provides good arch support, you can swap it out for your own orthopedic inserts, if desired.3) STYLE - They look great. I've received several compliments and they pair well with a lot of outfits. I was concerned they were going to look like big gun-boats, but they don't look bulky at all.4) VALUE - These aren't the cheapest or the most expensive shoes I've ever owned. For what I needed--comfort and arch support being the most important--this was a good value.

Cute but too tight
These are cute orthopedic shoes, but I found my typical size was too tight. Bummed that they didn't work!
