This has been 5 star all the way. Installation was a breeze. My only advice - the system will give you 4 cameras with 7 day retention free. The installation experience will constantly ping you to select a paid subscription. Don't fall for that if 4 cameras and 7 days is what you want. Our system has been excellent, we are very happy with it. We are campers. The absence of our camper is like advertising we are not home. When we are out - we do get motion detection alerts when squirrels pass by camera. We also had a package delivery trigger the system. So primary purpose addressed no issues. As other reviewers state - you also need to order camera mounts and a battery charger. (Why these are not included I have no idea. But look at the "frequently bought together" section.) Picture quality both day and night are fantastic. (Note: I gave 5 stars for tech support - but that should be N/A. I never needed them.)

The Arlo system was very easy to install and is easy to operate. It is also easy to share recorded and live videos with other people. Note that I rated the tech support with 5 stars, but I haven't had to actually contact them for any support yet. There are a lot of videos on-line to help you get started and they answered all the questions that I had. The only reason the motion detection is one star less is because one camera doesn't seem to record motion that originates down in the far left corner. The area appears in the videos where motion is triggered in other places. The batteries are holding up well , but I will also admit that the area is low activity. The back yard is fenced, so unless the dog is back there, there is nothing to detect. Night vision is adequate. We researched the various Arlo models and decided the Pro 2 served our needs at a more affordable price.

I'm overall happy with these cameras!PROS-Motion detection is pretty good when it's in the main frame (not as much on the edges but that can probably be adjusted)- Easy to install and get the view you want (love that the camera is magnetized and good design on the mount)- High quality video- Decent range (we have a good sized house and the hub is on one end and two cameras on the other end - connectivity has been fine so far)- Slim/attractive design- Easy to share the cameras with the other adults in my houseCONS- Night vision isn't as good as I had hoped- Some bugs in the app with scheduling and takes a while to view the live feed- Often crashes when I ask the Echo to view the camera (could be the Echo's fault or the Arlo "skill", not sure which)- Took a while for the cameras to initially be recognized but they haven't lost sync yet since they were paired about a week agoI've only had them for a week or so but I'm overall happy with the purchase! Decent set of cameras (I purchased the 4-pack with the hub) at a fairly reasonable price-point. Looking forward to keeping my family and house safe!

Bought the Arlo Pro 2 4 camera set for some added security and piece of mind protecting my house and property. I did a lot of research on multiple different cameras sets, so many my wife said I was obsessed. With comparisons to the 3-4 other systems I looked at, the Arlo Pro 2 seemed to have the best options although slightly higher priced. The clips storage being 7 days in “The Cloud”, length of clip recording and ease of set up with the wireless was probably my deciding factors. I have to say, it was well worth the extra money spent!! I am not what anyone would ever call an”Tech savy” person, but read the directions and have the 4 cameras synched within 45 minutes along with the app on my wife’s and my phones. I would like to see Arlo actually give you a battery charger with this system instead of having to make a separate purchase, approx $20 on Amazon, but with the price of the system, one should be included for the rechargeable batteries. There is 1 cable that comes with the system, but only allows you to charge 1 battery at a time. This just seemed to be a pain, so I spent the extra money on a double charger. All in all, VERY happy with this purchase!! Also I am rather impressed with the picture with the night vision...above my expectations!!!

I tried other cameras (Ring and Echo) and they did not connect to my WIFI because they were placed to far away. The furthest one is about 100 feet. Their batteries also run out quickly. The Arlo cameras come with their own base WIFI station which must have a greater broadcast range than a normal access point because all my cameras connect and there is negligible delay in the live feed. The mobile app and browser is also much better than the Ring app. The battery is advertised to last 6 months. I have had the system up for 2 weeks and the battery is still at 98%. The Pro 2 also comes with free cloud storage. I highly recommend the Arlo line of cameras.

Very easy to install. Easy to setup with the modern. It took a bit long to connect each camera with the base but nothing crazy! The cameras are true HD! The angle and picture quality are great! Very sensitive actually but you can graduate the sensitive through the app. Talking and listening through the camera also works well. The downside of the cameras is the night vision and the time it takes to speak through the camera. The night vision is not as clear as it should be. Talking through the camera takes a few seconds close to a minute to work. But it looks like itdepends on connection and internet speed because at times it works faster but not to fast. Other than that I'm very satisfied with the cameras. I don't have a subscription to the monthly plans and I'm able to keep recordings for up to 7 days.

So easy to set up, and the video quality is very good. Battery life lasts a long time.The only con is that it comes with one secure bracket while the rest are magnets. Not what i thought it would be.Otherwise I have no complaints as of yet. I have been using it for a two weeks now.

Batteries finish fast no more than a month

I have a total of 13 cameras sprinkled over 4 acres. I've found the best way to keep them running during a cold Canadian winter is to have power supplied to them. Without power they will shut down at -20 degrees c. With power you can keep them running to a colder temp. The maximum cold temp plugged in varies but colder than -20. The trick is to make sure you use or protect the power plug into the camera as it can get wet from rain. I used the wasserstein power supply cord from amazon. Then applied some grease around the connection point as a seal. Can also use silicone.Cameras and system are pretty reliable and work well for the most part. Like any technology can have glitches here and there.

Easy to set up. They even spotted a mouse!
