The Rolls Royce Of Guinea Pig Liners
I decided to invest in a 4x2 and a 2x1 Guinea Dad liner. Very expensive but been in the cage 4 days now with a few pee pads under their houses. So easy to spot clean and maintain. They are quite heavy so do not move or bunch when sweeping them. Loads of hair and hay come off with the brush so easily cleaned and maintained much easier than the fleece blankets and towels I have used for 5 years. Have invested in another set, for when one is in the wash. When washing, put some white vinegar in the wash and some in the softener compartment. I had to wash and dry mine twice to get it to wick. Don't wash too high, 30°or 40°, and don't over dry. If using dryer do one cycle and finish off on line or airer. 10/10😃

Beautiful cage liner, but not quite as hoped.
I'll start with the cons... But don't let me put you off. There *are* good points too!...Unfortunately, the fleece liners aren't working out for myself personally. I find it a bit of an effort to hoover with the brush setting on - but it's made a lot easier in the long run if you invest in a handheld cordless vacuum (game changer!). I did find that I'm having to clean up urine from underneath the liner still, and again - you'll need to make another investment of a horse bag or something to wash it in because even when hoovered well, you'll still find guinea pig hair and the odd bit of hay in the washing machine. They're also very expensive - particularly when ordering from the UK. You will need more than one - I didn't think about this until I came to wash the first (I know, duh! Silly me!).Now the pro's. My sows *loved* the box it came in. I love the sticker & the care instructions etc were great. These were all nice touches that made you feel good about buying this product. I punched the side bits off the box, put it in the run and it was the new favourite out of all the hides for a few days (even the pets love a freebie right?!).The quality of the liner is amazing. I really wish it was a little better at not leaking - but the sizing, material and everything was perfect and the nicest liner I found. None of my guinea pigs bothered with the pocket, until I put one of the cardboard tubes half-in, therefore making a tunnel to underneath the blanket... At soon as I did this, every single one of my guinea pigs in that pen gave it a try & it massively appealed to my most playful piggy, Penny. She chews, she popcorns, she chews and she runs left right and centre... As soon as I put the tunnel into the pocket, she was in and out of that like a yo-yo all day - no more chewing. :)Overall, with all of the washing, hoovering, etc - you can't *really* say this is more environmentally or cost friendly in the long run. I found myself washing/drying this a lot and honestly, in the end life got too busy to have to do all of that when it's far easier (and not *that* much more bad for the environment after all) to use alternative bedding. It's a beautiful cage liner that fits perfectly and has a lovely feature with that pocket. It's *the* best one I've tried apart from a bit of leakage after what was genuinely minimal use. My guinea pigs loved the softness of it and I liked how tidy/trendy it looked. I just can't get on with them unfortunately, which is a real shame when I paid a lot of money for it.

Very durable
I’ve been using 2 of these liners for the last few years and only now are they showing signs of age & becoming less absorbent. Recently purchased another as so much easier then wood shavings and more comfortable for my piggies. Wash really well too.

Loved by guinea pigs but dont last long due to shrinkage
I had been looking at guineadad for a while but, on the switch from wood shavings to fleece, found the cost of 2 of these prohibitive, so bought elsewhere. 9 months on and with the other 2 fleeces constantly smelling like a urinal and with no absorbancy left, i decided to give guineadad a go, ordering a 4x2 and a 2x1 to fit our 5x2 c&c.Instantly i could feel the quality difference, the wadding is much thicker, the pockets are super soft, so soft its rare we even see our guinea pigs now, they spend half of the day under there!Ive seen other reviews saying they are difficult to clean but, following the instructions to the letter, adding a hefty amount of white vinegar to the softener compartment to help with the smell, we haven't had this issueWe dont have a tumble drier so have found it takes a full day to completely dry.Yes they are expensive but having done a lot of research, none of the competitors offer anywhere near this quality. On the downside, there is a bit issue with shrinkage. As ive said, we follow the instructions to the letter but, having now bought 3 guineadads, shrinkage is a major issue. Our 1st one, bought 11 months ago, is now completely unuseable as it simply doesnt fit any more. The 2nd one, bought in july 2021 is starting to show signs of shrinkage too. We also bought a couple of 2x1s (as, due to a gary crossing the rainbow bridge, we now have changed from 2 boys to 1 boy and 4 girls in a 9x2, so 2 4x2s and a 1x2) and the shrinkage has happened at exactly the same rate - the 1st one no londer touches the sides, the 2nd one is shrinking fast. Obviously, this isnt a severe issue if you have money to burn and can buy 5 or 6 and rotate useage but, at £67.95 a pop for the 4x2, its a bit too much outlay for most.We do love the product and the herd seem to like them but shrinkage is an issue.
