I don't know what you feel is needed, but this bra is beautifully soft and comfortable, not particularly tight or supportive. It is however very easy to wear and close with my arthritic hands, just supportive enough around the house. I've worn mine as a hospital inpatient and at home when I need to be comfortable. Would be fine for a small bust but mine isn’t. I also tried the glamorise version - again, I had to go down one back size but kept the same cup size. That one gives really good bust support. I bought this bra in white to wear occasionally with white tops while Im still healing as a cheaper option than getting another Macom. Its not specifically a compression bra but the description says it gives firm support without underwires so I thought it was worth a try for the price. The size chart did confuse me though and I wasnt really sure what size to order as I wanted a snug fit. In the end I went for my normal size which was about right for me - I have it on the loosest fastenings though. If you want a slightly less tight fit I would recommend going up a size from normal. I do find it every comfortable and dont notice Im wearing it during the day which is always a good sign! I havent had any problems with the fastenings coming undone and I dont have any red marks when I take it off. However If you are looking for a bra that gives you a good shape this is not for you, you would need an underwired bra for that. It does stop the "jiggle" and I feel supported when Im wearing it. However I dont agree with the description which says it gives full coverage - it is actually slightly low cut which I personally like as it shows some cleavage! However this turned out to be a slight problem when wearing it in bed... Ive worn it twice so far and both times I have woken up to find one of my boobs has popped out the front!!!! All in all its a decent bra for the price and Im happy with it for what I needed it for.
