Oh the joy of instant results!
My cats and dogs always take interest in doing things they absolutely should not. Things like climbing Christmas trees, exploring internal parts of electric organs, ripping up the window blinds, getting under the kitchen cabinets, hanging out under ladies dresses, etc. The dogs really like a lot of the same things but they REALLY like the litter boxes. (Gross!!)They're always trying to smell and eat the houseplants. They're all very interested in licking the dinner plates clean as well. And although I appreciate the offer to help, I do not want them eating people food because we don't always eat as healthy as they do.I have one cat that is very vocal at night when he's assaulting stuffed animals and I can't stand it because it wakes me up and I have a very hard time getting back to sleep. This is what they make this for. It not only scares the pants off of them, it has a pleasant smelling pheromone that lingers and reminds them that what they just did is still not ok.It's pricy, but man oh man does this stuff work. After a while it even teaches them not to do it anymore so it makes for more well behaved pets, but also a more respectful family unit. The cats used to chase the dogs (yes you read that correctly), pounce on the dogs when they rounded corners, attacked the dogs while they jumped on or off the furniture, or napped unsuspectingly; They're no longer doing those things. The dogs used to sneak into the office to grab some litter nuggets for a quick pick-me-up between meals; Now a thing of the past.If you doubt this is true, prove yourself wrong. Or prove yourself right. Either way, you'll have tried everything and will know what does or doesn't work. This stuff also works as a deterrent without using it just by picking it up and showing it to them. Sometimes I have to take the lid off if I'm out of their field of vision and whatever it is they were doing just stops. They will call your bluff sometimes though so it's good to have some left to spray. They will try you from time to time.Be prepared. Be very prepared.

Save your money!
A spray bottle of water works about the same. They got used to thesound and backed away when I used it but didn't associate it withwhat they were bound and determined to do. They're kittens. Maywork better on adult cats. I bought the Cat version. It was muchsmaller than I expected.

Worked after everything else failed to keep my cat from destroying things.
This is amazing! I bought this nearly two months ago and was hesitant to use it because I didn’t want to make my cat scared of *me* but my fears were unfounded. He’s scared of the can, not me! I was at my wits end because he kept scratching things and jumping into the China cabinet no matter how many deterrent and calming sprays and alternative scratching posts I bought. After I got this, I kept it open and ready on the couch and kept an eye on him for a bit. As soon as he went to do something he shouldn’t, I sprayed it just a teeny bit—not all the way down. It releases a little bit of a sharp smell and a loud sound like hissing. He got scared and ran away but he was not mad at me. He came back to me for scratches right away, but he learned to recognize the can and all I had to do after about four or five sprays was bring out the can and he would stop. Once he got very bold and didn’t stop after a small spray so I pushed it all the way down and it made the loudest sound—I even got startled! My cat stopped then! After about a month I don’t need it anymore at all. Totally trained! Now a stray cat is coming into the backyard to hunt birds and sends my indoor cat into a tizzy so whenever I see the stray, I go out and spray this at him. It scares him away, and I’m hopeful he’ll stop coming altogether.

It really does "Stop That!"
A few months after buying a new dining table set with 2 upholstered chairs, our cat decided to start scratching the upholstery for attention. It worked, but not in the way he hoped. We tried spray bottles. We tried kitty time outs. We bought a second cat tree and put it next to the table hoping it would be a good substitute. Nothing was working and one chair was getting close to being ruined. I looked into tapes and scented sprays to deter him but nothing seemed to have great reviews. This spray, although didn't work for everyone, seemed to at least have a higher rating overall. It was down to this or watching our new chairs be ripped apart day after day. From the first spray, our cat would take off out of the room. By the end of a week, just us walking toward the can was enough to stop him. Now it has been about 2 more weeks and we haven't even had to look at the can. He has completely stopped his scratching and will still come near the table to see us, so he clearly hasn't been traumatized by the spray! We are thrilled and sure wish we bought this sooner!

This product keeps my cat in line.
I brought this for my cat, Nicky. He keeps picking on our smallest cat, Bobette. When I first got it, I had to actually spray it. Then, later, I only had to take off the lid, and Nicky would stop whatever inappropriate behavior he was doing. Now, all I have to do is show him the can, and he will stop and run away. This is so worth the money. I have it as a monthly subscription.I have another male cat who is over ten pounds, and the first time he heard the sound, he literally jumped a good two to three inches off the ground. I have never seen that boy move that much in his life. Stop That! really does just that. At least for my cats.

Almost perfect
I feel this worked for my little female cat but my male cat found it more interesting then a form of "stop it". He would do things he shouldn't then would check out the bottle when I sprayed it in his direction.

Don't waste your money.
This product seemed to work the first time, stopped working after that, and the contents of spray container ran out very quickly. It us definitely not worth the money. I cannot recommend it.
