I had been using an inflatable pillow with a cover but the bladder popped and it just wasn't the same as a proper pillow.This is like a small cushion with a soft cover. The stuff sack is too small but I just put it in my sleeping bag and compress them together. Like any pillow, it will not stay on your mat so stick it in your sleeping bag hood. I put it in the defunct inflatable pillows cover as it has a strap to hold it to the mat.On its own, I found it was a bit too small. I had to put a down jacket under it. I've ended up buying another of the same colour and will take both and they should be fine.It is not ultra light and compactable but I didn't really notice it once compressed. It is soft to touch and does the job. Two will be better than one. Just ditch the bag. You will never get the pillow back in it.Would I buy it again? Well yes, I did.

The 4lb fill is not light ... you can't have warmth plus lightness, except in a highly expensive fabric. It's a good sleeping bag and pillow.

I use this along with an inflatable one, which by itself I find a bit hard - this adds some comfort back in for very little weight. Worth the money for a good night's sleep on the trail.

Not really suitable for me - perhaps better than no pillow at all but wouldn't be enough for me and was relatively expensive for what it was. Even so it looked reasonable quality and was soft so perhaps would suit others better

Much more like a traditional pillow, it’s comfortable unlike the blow up pillow.

Pillow is larger than expected but still a good camping size. Will fit well inside a sleeping bag hood. It weighs little over half a pound (0.72 lbs) and folds in on itself for packing with a drawstring cord to keep it tight. The overall size is bulky compared to inflatable pillows but for a little luxury camping this is a nice addition as it keeps its shape well and is very soft. If looking for a camping pillow that is not inflatable and you have space in your backpack (I'd probably say it is akin to a puffy coat in its bag for packed size, maybe a tad smaller) then this would make a great addition to your sleep system. Would recommend and will be buying another for my daughter for our hiking holidays.

Loads comfier than those round neck travel pillows. We might all get a bit of rest on the plane now.
