Reef complete is a concentrated optimized blend of ionic calcium designed to restore and maintain calcium to levels found in natural seawater without affecting pH. Calcium and carbonates are essential to all coral growth. If either becomes deficient, coral growth will cease, followed by a rapid decline in coral health. To prevent this you must provide calcium (reef complete) and carbonates (reef builder or reef carbonate). reef complete also includes magnesium and strontium in amounts proportionate to typical utilization ratios. **Q: I have an activated carbon reactor, will the reactor remove this stuff?**
A: I don't know the answer but I shut my off for a few hours.

**Q: What distinguishes this from their regular calcium additive?**
A: It's more than just calcium. It has all the elements of saltwater mixes. You use Reef Plus with this, and your saltwater tank gets the added vitamins and amino acids it needs to be healthy.

**Q: Seachem reef calcium. will it help strengthen the shell of my freshwater turtle? i have a reeve’s turtle/chinese pond turtle.**
A: Made for saltwater! Need better foods for your turtle. Pond turtles don't need calcium supplements because it's usually in the water if you do water replacements!

**Q: My calcium (159) and magnesium (870) levels are low in my nano 13.5g saltwater tank. Will this boost both or do I also need a magnesium additive?**
A: Water changes work better than anything in these smaller tanks. Is this a hard coral tank? I use Seachem Reef Complete and Reef Plus together. If its a coral tank and not a fish tank, then make sure your using a reef salt mix with those extra additives. You can also add Reef Rubble pieces to keep your levels up in between water changes. Smaller tanks need more water changes because things change quicker with less space.

This product is amazing. I have always had a difficult time with coralline algae but once I started to use it's made a huge difference. I now have purple spots showing up everywhere even on my ornaments. Works as it should, priced competitively, so whats not to like? Great for getting your calcium up with minimal solution. I use it in conjunction with the Reef Fusion 1 & 2, but this gets the calcium and magnesium up without iron that can be utilized by algae. Also it is more concentrated than the Reef Fusion 1, so it is very useful when your calcium levels take a dip and everything else is fine. If you plan on keeping SPS, or honestly even LPS healthy, checking and maintaining ideal calcium and magnesium levels is a must. For the price, this is a great additive for new and experienced reefers alike.
