It is a major effort to get light bulbs to work. At first I thought the bulbs were burnt out. Also the amount of effort to replace a light bulb is unbelievable. The cage has 8 caps screws and the threads are hard to work with. The match of the cage to the plate is an effort in patience. Should you sadly have ordered this don't try to align the plate to the cage while up on a ladder. The easiest way is first assemble the cage, plate, screw caps, light bulb and the ring is to do it sitting down with some quiet, soothing music playing.One of the cage to plate plate connector is broken off. I paid to have this installed so I am in too deep to put it back together and return it. I will just put that missing connector to the ceiling hoping no one notices.BUYER BEWARE,Seller - Drop this product.

First, this is a lovely ceiling light fixture. It's beautiful and unique. The fixture gets five stars, the engineering and installation, one star. Why? There are multiple reasons. First, the instructions are incomplete, so you have to figure things out for yourself to get it installed. Not for the first timer. Second, getting the light bulbs installed is a joke - very poor engineering. You must take each of three cages apart, slip in the light bulb, reassemble the cages, then attach the cage to the base, and then screw the light bulb into the socket. It took me 5+ minutes to install each of three light bulbs. Finally, the installation into the ceiling box was problematic - again poor engineering. The screws to attach the anchor to the ceiling box, are right next to the screws that attach the light fixture to the anchor. They are too close to each other, and it's difficult to get all the screws tightened. Again, not for the first timer. Once finished, it's beautiful - but I was frustrated that a light fixture that should have taken me only 15-20 minutes to install, took well over an hour.

Well i purchased 2 of these. My electrician instaled them and we flipped the breaker on it tripped as 1 of the light fixtures caught on fire. So the electrician removed the light and took it apart and found that all 3 sets of wires going to the bulb bases were crushed in the round ball that allows the vulb cage to be turned in and out. 1 was crushed so bad that the bare wires arced and caught of fire. So now I have 1 light that is burned up and 1 that is coming back down. Bad design, cheaply made, very very dangerous.

Bought this and installed it. Not sure if i can recommend it. If u really really like the look then ok. But the overall build quality is less than acceptable.Looks very good but the install parts and component quality is poor.The thumb screw that the adjustment arm connects to broke on the first try. Major draw back. I will never be able to adjust it again. i would have returned it but too much effort to take it down and start over. It will stay on the ceiling till i get tired of looking at it.Several others have noted the difficulty installing the bulbs and arranging it. Well yes, but that is just the price u will pay for using one of these. Figure if u install LED bulbs u wont ever have to change another bulb again so this is a one time penalty.A second light i bought had a defective socket. That was returned.I dont think these are UL listed. The wiring and socket design does not seem to be normal for US market. Wire gauge is very lite. Sockets are plastic. Not suitable for 100 W bulbs only LED light w low wattage requirements.

I like the looks of it, however, it needs a longer ceiling bracket and screws. The design for the canopy to fit in the electrical ceiling box needs to be changed. For the box which is in our ceiling, the bracket didn't quite fit. Had to bend the bracket and then the box wasn't quite flush with the ceiling so the screws which hold up the canopy were to short. The screws kept moving when trying to fasten the canopy so it was hard to match them up with the holes. If you tighten the screws in the bracket, then they don't match up with the holes in the canopy. Had already returned the first order of this light because the screws would match up with holes. However, that's the design. Did have to find longer bolts so the canopy could be mounted. Basically a nightmare, what should take maybe ten minutes took over 30 minutes to do.

These look great and were easy to install. Its a pain in the butt to get the bulbs in so be prepared for that. I bought 2 of them, the first went into my home office and one of the screw tips on the bulb cage broke but it was easy to hide and I wasn't worried about it. The other one I put in my bathroom and I ended up having to point the lights down because it wouldn't tighten enough and kept drooping so I went with it and it looks great.

While we are pleased with the looks of this light and it's design allows it to fold in for a slimmer look or expand out for larger. The negatives are a little cheaply made allows it to move in places that it shouldn't and the bulbs are a pain to replace. Each cage around each light has a nut on the end of every wire which means you have to take off I think 8 nuts and then completely remove the cage to replace the bulb then try to realign each wire (which doesn't want to go back into its hole) then put the nuts back on while holding the cage in place.

I installed this on the back deck in January. It has come through the last 8 months beautifully. It’s extremely bright, so perfect for cleaning up after a party or seeing across the yard while the dogs are out. Because of the cages around the individual bulb, they will take an extra moment to change but we’ll worth it for the industrial look I was going for. It took 15 minutes to install with no issues. I’m really happy with the new look to my fan.

It took nearly two months for this item to arrive. When it did, the item was damaged in a number of places, there were no assembly instructions, half the mounting hardware was missing, the wiring was so short you would have thought wire was $100 a foot (I had to rewire the fixture so that I had enough wire to connect to the wiring in the ceiling box) and finally, the mounting hardware that was included was incompatible with North American electrical boxes so I had to fabricate my own mounting hardware.I would never order anything from this seller again.
