As usual, reviews didn't really offer up many clues about this product. But my five year old daughter hasn't stopped bothering myself or her granny for nail painting for months now. She's coloured her fingernails in too many times with felt tipped pens, I'm sick of scrubbing them! When she asked Father Christmas for nail varnish this Christmas I knew something had to be done.Now, I have seen these peel off nail paints before and I inadvertently bought some in a children's make up kit I bought for another little girl in the summer. So I kind of knew that they existed but I wasn't sure how good they are. They had a feel of gimmick to be honest.I had a good look around on Amazon with not the biggest choice of affordable sets,(some very expensive single peelable nail paints though); this seemed like the best of the bunch to me!So after buying this I decided it wasn't going to be gifted to my daughter until I knew if they actually worked. In other words, I was going to test them out!The product is a small, nicely printed cardboard box. No nasty excessive packaging (I am rapidly growing to adore the Chinese packaging ethos of less is more). These are made in China, that doesn't bother me at all, some of my finest buys from Amazon are unbranded Chinese products.Inside it's crammed full with everything shown in the product description. The "nail varnish" comes in beautiful colours, some are glittery. I love the bottle shapes; they're not very big but there are lots of them. The nail stickers are great! It's a very cute bag for storing. The accessories finish the set off nicely. All good there then.I looked at the instruction booklet that came with it; there were the ominous words, "may stain nails" but also "it will come off with baby oil". That's okay! I can cope with that, it's better than the felt tip pens!I selected a nice bright apple green to test and painted a nail I have that's ridged from a bad infection I once had in the nail bed. Let's really go for it then... It really covers the nail well on just one coat. Easy to apply but it seems a bit thicker than normal nail varnish. No scent, and dries REALLY quickly. Sadly I didn't think to test out spillages and I've since wrapped it up. So I would say don't get it near your carpet or best curtains but that goes without saying.The acid test was how well it stays on, and how easily it peels off. Well it stays on very well; I am sure it won't stay put for so many hours as we are talking children here, but it scrapes off easily! It didn't peel for me, perhaps because I only applied a thin coat (which was all you need as it's thick stuff and well pigmented). No staining, and it didn't get stuck down the nail sides or in the ridges of my nails. It pretty much scraped off in seconds using my nails. That's superb, just what I wanted. I really didn't quite believe it would do what it claimed, but it did.I checked the bottles I'd opened the next day because there's a review that says they dry out fast. Nope. I'd done the caps up tight, it was fine. Could I see it drying out? Yes, it dries really fast on the nail so if you leave the lids off its bound to.I didn't test the nail stickers, it didn't seem necessary. There are some lovely ones!Overall, my impressions of this beauty toy are very good; it's attractive, it has playability, it's a thousand times better than solvent based nail varnish and allows children to be creative without too much adult intervention. And it's not wasteful with unnecessary packaging.In particular, it means that my daughter will leave the felt pens for doing art work on paper in future!

My daughter loved it but it is very small, the box fits in one hand. Nice to have the little bag inside. Lasted a week and we had lots of fun with it. If you sent this as a gift, be aware it looks very small small, not a nice box.

I purchased this nail polish set as present for my niece and it very much exceeded my expectations, so much so that I ended up buying a second set for my daughter. It's a lovely little set with some pretty and bright colours included for young girls to experiment with.They paint onto the nail and cover it really well and don't smell like regular nail polish does. They don't last a particularly long time but then the girls are always changing their minds about which colour they want their nails to be anyway so the polish gets changed often. It scrapes off pretty easily too. The glitter polishes go on clear with specks of coloured glitter in. They look good by themselves but look even better painted over one of the solid colour polishes to give them some sparkle.The nail stickers are great used over the polishes or on bare nails but are a little fiddly to remove from the backing paper so it's best to use tweezers to remove them and place them on the nail. The accessories are a great addition to the set and the bag to store it all is easy to wipe clean should any polish get spilled on it.Overall it's a fabulous set. My daughter and my niece have had hours of fun with it and really enjoyed changing their look. I would happily purchase this again when the polishes run out.

I received this quickly. It is so so cute. However... no fault of the seller, my delivery driver decided to lob the package over my garden gate! I checked it on the day. All was fine. Only later did I realise the green had cracked. Rather than send back, I peeled off the green and eliminated that colour. Safe to say it definitely peels. Straight off! My niece doesn't like green anyway! Win win. Perfect. Thank you xxx

It's lovely and good value for money but doesn't last long at all, rubs off very easy and peels away too easy. But it's not bad

The yellow was chosen by my 3 year old and painted on my toes by my 7 year old granddaughters last week. My 10 year old paint my hand nails in various colours of which I simply just peeled off for work. We’ve had lots of fun without fear of damage
