Perhaps the Best One So Far
Monster: Perfect Edition, Vol. 5 sees Dr. Tenma finally confront Johan – with a gun. The story chases all throughout Eastern Germany and the Czech Republic, where multiple parties are trying to find out the secret behind Kinderheim 511. We meet the institution's director, and his guilt over what happened is all-encompassing. There is also a former spy turned journalist, Grimer. He is the main protagonist for the final third of the book. It's strange how ]Monster originally came out in blocks, not designed for this 400-page format, yet how it fits that format so well. Every time I finish a volume, I can't wait for the next one to come out. The highlight of the volume by far is the confrontation in the library. Naoki Urusawa is so good with situations, drama, characters, and just about anything that I can't help but recommend his work. If you've started this series, go ahead and finish it. *****

Iv watched the Anime version of Monster many years ago and was blown away by its addictive story, drama, action and suspence, one of the very rare manga stories with a rapid turn of events for a humble Japanese docoter. You won't regret purchasing this one, highly recommended for anyone! Those new to Japanese Manga world, and those wanting something more if a non fictional taste and closer to reality.Get all 9 Volumes!
