Most notably, the toe clamp. The 5000 needed more gripping strength, providing a stronger connection between the drummer and kick drum. So, we developed the Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp (U.S. Patent No. 8330032). Three independent 360 degree, rotating rubber pads firmly pinch almost any diameter and thickness bass drum counter hoop from the top and the bottom, with zero slippage. Love It! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptionally Well-Built *by L***S on May 4, 2026* I was replacing a very cheap and basic foot pedal that came with a used TAMA drum set I picked up from FB marketplace. I don't think the pedals were TAMA but it was a cheap one. I got this based on my what I am learning being a drummer for 3 years now and finding out more about upgrading my equipment, stands, etc. So the DW pedals have a very high rating and thought to go with the 5000. They make 3000 and 9000 but felt the middle one is good for me. I purchased the Turbo version because of how I play and usually do rock music and a bit of jazz. I do Led Zeppelin songs, and some other songs require fast bass drum speeds. These work really well. The way they feel on the foot is awesome especially with that heel plate. That heel plate is a fantastic feature. You can also tell the quality is really good, the metal is nice and heavy but not too heavy. I do not have anything negative to say about this bass pedal.
