Worked great to fix my 18 year old dishwasher
My dishwasher was not working right and I took it apart and found both of these switches had failed. One stuck completely open and the other literally broken. I replaced those broken switches with two of these off of Amazon and the dishwasher works great again. Saved me 500+ dollars going and buying another one!! Worth the money although there are cheaper ones on other sites, you can't beat the convenience of amazon.

Fix it, don't replace the whole dishwasher.
Exact replacement part for my dishwasher. The old one had failed slowly over time and you had to mess with the door lock lever to make it run. It finally completely quit. I removed the front door cover and did a little troubleshooting and found one of the two interlock switches was melted internally and would no longer make contact. The replacement was pretty straightforward and I was done within 20 minutes (with the help of a 4 & 6 year old!!) It ran perfect after repair. The part appeared to be an exact replacement of original quality. I am very happy with this part.Pro-tip: SAFETY FIRST - ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY REPAIR!!!!

Simple 5 minute fix with only a Phillips screwdriver.
For GE dishwasher: GSD2220F00BBIf dishwasher has power but will not start, look here first. Turn off power via circuit breaker. 7 screws on inside of door perimeter, separate door skin from tub liner, 1 screw on latch spring, remove small plastic film to access interlock switch. My problem was the button on switch fused and would not pop back up and no longer would register door being closed making the dishwasher think the door was open. Easy swap to blade electrical connectors, note direction original was installed.

This is also actually a safety switch for a clothes dryer--which was my situation
In my case, the switch is used to shut down the clothes dryer (GE/Hotpoint) if the drive belt breaks. The new switch functioned great, but due to the design of the dryer, replacing the switch required a major disassembly of the dryer. The dryer is a bottom-of-the-line model that we "inherited" when we bought the house. Unless you are very mechanically skilled, I would not recommend DIY replacement of the switch on this type of older, inexpensive model. But after replacing the switch and figuring out how to get the new belt over the tensioner that is in an awkward location, the dryer is now working fine. The part is a genuine GE part--not an aftermarket replacement.

This switch fixed my GE Clothes Dryer
Just the part I needed to get my GE clothes dryer back up and running. On my GE dryer, this switch senses when the belt breaks and stops the dryer if there is a break. The symptom was that I would turn the start knob and the dryer would start running, but when I released the start knob the dryer stopped. I first thought the problem was the start knob switch and replace that switch first, however that didn't fix the problem. More research lead me to this switch which is buried underneath the dryer tub. This switch lives a rough life with the button depressed all of the time, unless your belt breaks. Looked like it was going to be a big job replacing the switch, but turned out to be fairly simple.

Replaced Interlock Switch
Dishwasher would not come on. Did some searching, with my GE Model # and found some suggestions about what may be wrong. Also, saw a review here about a similar problem and was resolved by replacing this part. What to lose? So, bought the part. Needed two but only purchased one, ARRRGH! The schematic only showed one switch. Anyway, took the panel apart and replaced one switch with the "Button" depressed on the switch. Spring loaded and switch was depressed and would not move. The other switch looked okay, so swapped out the switch which looked "Depressed". Be careful in removing the wires. Use a sharp nosed pliers to coax the wire connector off the old switch. BTW, on my model, the two screws at the lower portion of the door are fine threaded. Be sure to replace these back in the same spot. Put it back together, turned on the power, and it worked!! Thanks for the information. Hope this helps someone else.

Easy replacement
This looks just like the old part and fit just right. No issues in hooking it up. The connections were easy. Quality seems the same. Looks very durable for the amount of dish loads we wash!

Great product but switch height isn’t the same.
Same size fit right in. Only issue is the switch sticks up about a 1/8” higher then the other one. My GE dishwasher has two. One for power and the other for the common. Because it sticks up higher the door lock doesn’t allow it to push on the new and old. Order two to avoid the headache.
