Stratego is a pretty classic game, and this edition brings a more elaborate package than a typical cardboard Hasbro game box. The sliding lid of the wooden box only goes on one way and does not consistently slide all the way unless everything inside is very tightly packed in.Gameplay is simple enough and boils down to hiding your flag and comparing numbers as you encounter enemy pieces. Remembering revealed values can give a great advantage in the game, so adults may have an unfair advantage over younger kids.

Product had slight "damage " and or wear on the outside of the wooden box. But that's what was expected as this was a used product and I was looking to get this classic game in this format and didn't want to spend alot more on New in this format. It stated that there would be slight wear and this was true and correct. I am VERY satisfied and happy with this product.... it is exactly as advertised and I definitely recommend.

I purchased this product as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old son. The game is exactly as I remembered as a child. The two of us have played several games and we are having fun. These are the "old" style rules I have read but, they are exactly as I used to play. The only thing that was missing on my game was a piece of corner packing which the seller stated. It was exactly as advertised. The game teaches basic strategy and is a break from video games. I would recommend this product.

What a find! I got this set for $16! It is just like (except for the awesome wood box!) the set I played with in the 1970s. I can't believe I found this for $16. Even at $50 it is a steal. I have seen this exact set selling for over $100 and people are buying it! I suggest that anyone who loves Stratego buy this set. It is just as much fun now as when I was 8. I am 47 years old. Truly brings a smile to my face! No cheap stickers on the pieces here. These are the solid plastic ones with the dudes and bombs etc. engraved with metallic paint or something. I learned on a set that had wood pieces and woke up one Christmas morning to find this same set under the tree. I kicked myself for years having let my folks sell it at garage sale when I went into the Air Force. So truly happy and pleased to have found this set and kudos to Hasbro for remaking a classic with no corners cut!!

The wooden lid came chipped, cracked & broken. The track to slide lid was also cracked & broken. Very disappointed for price.
