Terrible
First I've read by this author and my last. The blurb sounded intriguing but it wasn't long before it became down right disappointing. There was a lot of ambiguity about the time period with the modern speak. Raven's rotten husband basically trades her to a cowboy. Sex for $1000.00. The cowboy draws her attention straight away, he's very handsome. And she can tell just by looking at him that he'd NEVER do to a wife what her husband did to her. Except it doesn't seem to phase her that he has no qualms about going right ahead and giving her the best sex of their lives. Whew! It consumes them - the awesome, unforgettable sex. So it's a one night thing and miraculously the brother Raven hasn't seen or heard from in months finds her in her hotel room. She and her brother head off to find the ranch he wants to buy. Before they do that though, they have to go buy clothes. And in this supposedly frontier town she goes to the mercantile and shops in the "teenage section." For the love of Pete! I stuck with it a while longer and just couldn't get past the ridiculous dialogue. Particularly the conversation Chance has with Jadine and her talk about how hung he was - this family member who he had loads and loads of sex with growing up. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be erotica or what, but whatever story could have come from the blurb was squandered in favor of salacious sex that's delivered with zero emotion. I quit reading.

Great story.
I love this book. I have for years. Its a great story of two people meeting by chance and falling in love with one another, regardless of how much they fight it.

Predictable
I enjoyed the book but I felt like I knew the ending before it was done. But a good story.

lots of adventure
Great story...the only thing that bothered me was the stubbornness possessed by Raven and Chance. The minor characters were very likeable.

Raven
I did not like this book. There were too many stories and the stories were not well related. The hero acted like a silly teenager and I never got to know the main characters. I was very disappointed in this book.

Good Book! If you like settings of long ago and good stories, this is one of them.
Norah Hess is a good story teller and this is my second time reading Raven, first was years ago and this time on my Kindle. I enjoyed both times.
