a delightful compendium on the crow
This book contains a wide array of anecdotes, poems, and scientific observations about corvids and particularly crows and ravens. It reaches no conclusions but merely presents the stories and observations as they were found. A wonderful read.

Very good and informative.
Have had these wonderful birds in my yard for many years, but never had any personal interactions. They are weary of humans but accept our feeding. This was great for information and stories of other people's dealings with these birds.

Everything I Ever Eanted to Know About Crows
Witty, informative and fascinating, this book taught me a great deal. Now thoroughly enchanted by crows, I look at them with renewed interest and a desire for one to take a liking to me.

fun and entertaining, but not a great reference book
I was hoping for a reference, but while I got great anecdotes and stories, there wasn't science here. Still, nice if you just want to read about corvids being awesome.

A great book/read. To no one's surprise
A great book/read. To no one's surprise, crows appear to be remarkably intelligent, social, and demonstrate social skills and smarts that, at times, seem to be ahead of a lot of humans, including some in, shall we say, high office. It's beautifully written and illustrated and my only gripe would be that I wish it was longer.

Short, thought-provoking read
The stories of corvid intelligence did not surprise, but did delight me. I had my own experience with corvids plus years with loquacious, language-using, scarily intelligent parrots. But if you are one of those people who still believe the term “ bird brain “ is accurate, please read this book. (You might also like “Alex” by Dr. Irene Pepperberg, a cognitive language scientist.)

Highly recommend!
A highly educational as well as entertaining collection of scientific finds, poetry, lyrics, anecdotes and illustrations. I put my fingers on pretty much anything about crows and ravens. This one went straight to my personal Top-read-about-corvids-list. Great gift for anyone who is in love with these beautiful, fascinating birds.

great reading, though a bit of a surprise in ..structure of book.
great reading, though a bit of a surprise in the book structure. New readers may be surprised as I was when a section may be used as a separator for specialized information (?) or just to have a diversified book structure. It is interesting, but distracting when immersed in the contents to have to skip several pages to find the continuation of the author's excellent presentation of very interesting information. Please tell publisher/book contents designer.. the fancy construction of information IS NOT necessary. The book has super interesting material in it. YEA CROWS. very intelligent.
