Palm Beach - Assouline Coffee Table Book

This a high quality book from cover to cover. The pictures are exquisite. This is a great coffee table book. Highly recommend.

I so wanted to love Assouline's Palm Beach. How much better could it get? Aerin Lauder's take on this iconic Florida town brimmed with potential. The cover is adorable. The Lilly Pulitzer Print lining the interior is charming. But oh how pitiful is the content of this book. After Aerin's large-font, 10 page essay (which in itself is only mildly personal, being padded with a bunch of well-known facts about the town), the book goes downhill. It essentially amounts to a smorgasbord of photographs randomly assembled by what could have easily been a bored college intern. Google Palm Beach AND Town & Country Magazine OR Elle Decor and I bet you find 80% of the content here. Google quotes on Palm Beach and you will get another 10%.There is nothing new, insightful or personal. I thought for $100 I would get never-seen photos of the gorgeous homes of Palm Beach especially a few of the gorgeous Lauder estate -- I mean, Aerin wrote this thing, right? NOPE! Beside the essay, there is nothing remotely related to the Lauder family in this book save the photograph from a glossy magazine from a decade or so ago. I'm disappointed.

Get this book! Great quality. Beautiful images throughout. Now I want to buy the whole collection but I don’t want to go broke😂

Two of the edges are slightly crumpled and dented. Its important since its meant for decoration.

I’ve order this book twice and each time it has ended up with bent corners and dented spine. It’s the right book it just doesn’t come well protected

I so wanted to love this book. I bought it eagerly hoping for a keepsake of the Palm Beach I’ve known and loved for 40 years. Instead I got a boring collection of photographs I could have seen anywhere. A lot models and random photos of peoples yards and bedrooms. I feel like maybe Aerin Lauder doesn’t leave her home very often? Where are the fabulous treasures that are every where in Palm Beach. Honestly it is embarrassing for her. Get out and look around! Way too expensive for what you get. I gave it three stars for some beautiful photos and the Lilly Pilitzer papers.

Been wanting to get my hands on this book for ages! Found one on Book Depository but I couldn't wait for a month and a half for its arrival. So as soon as I found this book on Amazon, I knew I shouldn't waste a second longer! Ordered this all the way from Malaysia and it arrived in less than a week later! Beautiful coffee table book as it is highly illustrated with loads of gorgeous imageries.
