Works great for re-threading an old mini-blind, and adding a new wood pendant after the original has broken and the 'plastic pull' had broken off from age. Both the cord and the pendant are very sturdy items!

Two blinds had the dreaded broken pull cord on one side. So, instead of spending close to $250 per blind for new ones, I tried my hand at restringing it. Once I learned from the first one, the second one was very easy. This cord looks well-made and is aesthetically nicer than the original. The pull pieces that came with it turned out to come in handy.Lesson learned - when restringing, keep the blinds hung and fully lowered. Work from the bottom to the top, as you weave the string thru the slats. Then when you get to the top, take the blind off the wall and finish the run by running the cord thru the hole in the bottom of the header and down the exit hole next to the other cord. Prior to doing any of this, I took down another blind and studied how the cords go. Time well spent.Once done, the blinds operate good as new.

First, I did not need this product to restring my blinds completely. I suspect that the previous owner repeatedly fiddled (added decorative pull knobs perhaps) with the part of the cord that you pull to raise the blind because the cord was in 2-3 sections, and the top part only about 3" long. I bought this product to add cord to the bottom section because when the blind was closed, the pull knob was out of my reach.This cord is thinner and much slipperier than the original cord. The new cord came with pull knobs, but the cord did not easily go into the hole. It kept fraying and splaying out. It was 100% annoying! I finally got a tool to shove the cord into the hole, then used tweezers to reach in and grab it. Then I discovered that the original cord and new cord did not work well together. The knot kept slipping open regardless of the type of knot I used.I finally got one blind fixed with a longer cord, but there are two blinds more to do. I am not looking forward to it at all.

Using this to reinforce, repair and string black aviary netting over my chicken run. Very strong, easy to work with, and should last many years.

Came on time and as described. Can’t soeak to user quality as it is not what I wanted but I probably should have understood the mm sizing better. The cord was much too thin for me to restring a large bamboo shade. This cord is better suited for small thin blinds used for small windows.
