Anti-Slip Dog Socks for Hardwood Floor with Strap Indoor Non Skid Knit Paw Protector Traction Control

I have a 12 year old Australian cattle dog who lost a front leg to bone cancer. Our house is tiled and we have throw rugs everywhere to keep her from slipping. I ordered both the small and medium sizes to try. She is 55 lbs so I was surprised that the small size works better for her than the medium. A snug fit worked better than a loose fit. Two suggestions for the vendor. 1) do away with the snap attachment and sew the Velcro on for better comfort. 2) put gripper pattern on the sides of the sock as well so it they shift of twist there aren’t any bare areas to slip. I would buy this again.

I bought size small for my 27lb puggle and they fit perfectly. He is 11, and after a recent flare of intervertebral disc disease, he started slipping on our hardwood floors to a point that I worried he would injure his back again. Given the reasonable price, I figured I would try these before moving on to pricier options. We only use them on his back paws where he has trouble gripping, but he shockingly took to them immediately and has not tried to pull them off with his mouth, nor has he walked funny in them. I have found the most success with pulling them up as high as I can get them over his ankle (?) joint, fastening the Velcro as tightly as dare without cutting off circulation just below the black edge of the sock, and folding the top edge of the black edge over the Velcro. If the socks slides down, the whole sock goes so we don’t end up with the possibility of the Velcro digging into his skin. They do not stay up forever so I would probably not let him wander the house alone in them, but for now they are giving him independence while we are home all the time during the pandemic. If anything I wish they were a bit longer so I had more leeway with fastening and folding that top layer.

I purchased these 3 times for my dog who has a degenerative myelopathy. Feb, April and June 2020. I replaced the 1st time because we have a gravel driveway and road so the socks take a pretty good beating when we go out. Still I am surprised at how well they held up to the rocks especially as she continues to drag her paws more and more. The 1st set was really great. They held up well and I highly recommended them to others. I ordered a 2nd set and threw them in a drawer to use as backups. When I finally pulled them out to use, I noticed the straps didn't stay attached as well because the snaps were different. I figured I just got a messed up set and since I was past the return window I figured I would come up with something else to make them work. When I ordered the 3rd set, I realized they had definitely changed the snaps for the straps and not for the better. I am very disappointed because these are the only ones I have found that have grippers on both sides which has come in extremely handy. Because the straps don't stay on, the socks don't stay on or they slip down causing my dog additional issues with walking. The straps are extremely important and with the cheap snaps they are now using, the socks aren't helpful. I also noticed that the 2nd and 3rd set of socks don't stretch as much as the 1st set does. The stretch is an important factor as well for proper fit. It's really frustrating that the quality went down because these were perfect for her at 1st. I will not be buying another set of these for my dog.

I have an 18-year-old poodle mix. We have tile floors and he’s been sliding and his feet have been slipping out from under him. He walks very, very slow. The minute I put these on he was so confident he ran all around the room. He jumped into his bed. He jumped out of his bed. It’s been amazing!! He’s like a puppy now. The only issue is the front ones keep falling off.

Our 17 year old border collie acts like he not even wearing them - and they fit perfectly. They help him get up with ease on our wood floors. Highly recommend these for older dogs !

My Goldendoodle did good on the Pergo floors but coyld not get up the stairs with them. The grip was not enough. Otherwise easy to put on and they stayed on.

Bought for our 15-yr old Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.We tried using them on the front and back paws. The fronts fell off frequently even using the elastic Velcro strap. They worked great on the back paws since the elastic strap placed above the hock (ankle) on the lower portion of the thigh kept them from coming off. She walks around with confidence and without slipping.We found them difficult to put on if trying to pull on the top of them on like a regular sock. Toes and fur make it difficult. However, if we roll them inside out and get the toes all the way down in the sock, then unroll them up the leg, that gets them on w/o excess sock hanging off the paws.We are still using Dr. Buzby's Toe Grips on the front toenails which help a lot. The PAWCHIEs work must better on the back feet than the Toe Grips.

I bought a size small for my 18lb shishpoo. They fit perfectly. My dog actually is not bothered by wearing them. He's 15yrs., so these really help. His posture is better and he's not slipping around all over the place anymore. It beats putting runners all around the house and much more cost effective. I think it's made him more confident, and probably helps ease any pain he might have had from the tenseness from trying to hold himself in place all the time. I definitely recommend these socks and it's nice that they have velcro attachments to help hold them on.

Note: only using on rear legs because of problems walking after injuryThey seem a bit large for small dogs (shih tsu size) but they slip on easily and pull up over the ankle joint on rear legs securely. My dog doesn't try to wriggle out of them as I put them on, and roomy enough claws don't catch.They don't slide down even with constant wear, and my dog walks much better with them on. No sliding :)I've had them a while now, and they handle being washed without shrinking or falling apart so far.Recommended.
