Great cover, but you will need bungee cords as the Velcro is not strong enough. Great product but would be much better with stronger bigger Velcro strips to keep it closed.

Do yourself a favor and upgrade to a better model. You have to attach the velcro yourself, and it's difficult to understand where it's going to meet before it's on the reel. Once you figure that out, you have to put it on the solar cover exactly the same way the following winter. We bought another model the following year because this was just too much hassle, although it did keep our solar cover safe through the winter.

Purchased this at the beginning of the pool season. Didn't open and put the cover on until we closed the pool up for the season. If I knew how thin the plastic was, I wouldn't have wasted my money. Plus, the length of the cover isn't even close. Says it would fit up to 16 feet wide, which is the size of my solar cover. Clearly, my pictures indicate this is NOT the right fit. This cover doesn't even fit tightly around my solar cover. So the protection from the elements, bugs and any critters is basically useless. I couldn't even attempt to return it, since my return window was 4 weeks post purchase. I bought a competitors cover instead, which also comes with drawstring closures at both ends. A much higher quality cover. As the title of my review indicates, don't waste your money. You get what you pay for, cheap quality.

The drawback of course is when removing the cover the Velcro wants to keep it together. Much easier to use with two people but doable with one.

Thin, cheap, flimsy, skimpy, hard to install, and already falling apart!

Arrived on time and was as expected. Easy to install and use.

This works great for the pool cover. I gave it only 4 stars because the Velcro is a bust. If it is not windy for a swim I just lay it on and forget about securing it. When the pool guy is coming I just throw a few bungee cords around it and it works way better than the Velcro which came off easily. I’m not sure how well it would work if you pull your pool blanket up in the middle of the pool. Most people probably move the reel off to the side then it would be okay. I’m going on my third year and my pool cover is holding up better than before when I didn’t cover it. So I’m thinking I will get an extra year or two by covering it when it is rolled up. Just unroll your pool cover about half way after it was rolled up in the sun. Feel how hot it is. It made a believer out of me! The guys are going to do some deck work so the picture shows how I’m covering it for a week.

My above ground pool is 12x24 so the solar blanket is the same size. On the reel the blanket is about a foot in diameter. This cover adequately fit on the entire reel. The 12" Velcro strip is pretty useless. Plus it would have been a pain in the neck to apply. I'll find some other use for it though. I had always intended to use bungee cords anyway. The cover itself is very thin plastic sheeting, but I suspect it will last through a couple of winters if not more. I used 3 bungee cords over the solar cover and 2 ball bungees at each end where it was thinner. Overall it's a decent cover if you don't have high expectations.
