For the money, these are a great safety tool! They make a very LOUD noise.

When I first saw these, I thought of all the people that could use it: young girls, high school girls, kids being bullied, college students walking home or to their cars, working women walking to their cars alone, young kids walking or riding their bikes home from school, gays worried about hate crimes, senior citizens, handicapped people, the list goes on. They are great to bring attention to the area and to the one whom a crime might be perpetrated against. They are easy to use, pull the pin out. (Although I think it would have been easier to push the button and push the pin back in. They are plenty loud enough. I have my car key and house key on mine. Have it in my hand when walking out of a building and in my pocket or hanging on my pants in a building. Great gifts and stocking stuffers. Even thought of giving them as a hostess gift.

Bought for grandkids to use while on vacation hiking. It is quite loud, hoping to scare a bear away if encountered. Also traveling to San Fran, never know what you might encounter there.

It is a great product. I purchased 8 so far for my family members, but sadly my did not work correctly. I had to make sure that they checked them. The switch on mine did not appear to work properly. I had to open the unit, then remove and reinstall the batteries. It did not properly until I put a touch of Vaseline on the contact points for it to work properly. I actually prefer the unit where the pin is fully removed. That way it is difficult to turn off by the bad guys. I will be suggesting to my family if necessary for them to use the device to pull the pin and drop it screaming away from them making it easier to grab and turn off. The device easy to replace, the family or friend not so easy. I am a retired military vet, so am well aware of security and alarms.

Worthless. Purchased this product for personal security for my four girls. Product came in like new but the batteries were dead. They had a strip between the batteries to keep them fresh. Pulled it out and not one of the four worked. I am hoping it’s just the batteries. I will replace them next week and will see if the product works or not. At the moment I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the product. Can’t believe they would ship something without making sure it works first!

I recently purchase these for personal use.Three are made from a sturdy plastic and the other one is cheap and could be crushed easily. One of them doesn't work at all and the pull chain broke when separated from the plastic body-not good-completely defective.The other 3 work, the sound is loud enough. Test your out when you receive them in case you have to return.We'll use them for now, but we won't buy them again.

The alarms are pretty loud. It will definitely surprise an attacker. I appreciate the caribeeners included so I can clip it onto my keys easily. I was excited to find this pack so I can also give one to the other important women in my life. This was a small price to pay for some piece of mind. I had already attached the blue one to my keys when I took this picture. I taped the strap to the back of mine so it doesn't accidentally go off in public.

I bought this 4 pack to give to my mom, sister, sister in law, and mother in law. They are light weight and will turn heads when activated. They are slightly bigger than I expected but overall I would recommend them as a personal safety alarm. It took me a minute to figure out how to operate it but it is easy, just pull the pin where the keychain hook is located. Push the pin back down to silence the alarm. I would recommend these for kids too as a personal safety alarm.

I thought that the alarm would be a little louder.

Three out of four DOA. The forth made some noise like scared kitten. May be weak batteries or bad inside contacts. Anyhow, unusable.

Out of the 16 I ordered 6 of them work. Not very happy!!
