FN NANO Odor Free Cat Litter Box, State of The Art Technology

I was very skeptical about this box. I have tried many different boxes and odor reducing methods but nothing eliminated it. I was ready to buy the $800 inner-rotating box that looks like the Death Star because we were moving house and the box would be located just off the new kitchen. I really needed an option that worked. I decided to give this less expensive option a shot and I am happy to report that THIS WORKS!You might be wondering "Why did she only give it 4 stars?" Litter liner bags suck. A sifter tray for clumping litter users could earn this thing a 6 star rating. Besides, I admit to skipping over 5* ratings because I want to know what made someone not give it 5*.* FULL DISCLOSURE * I don't use litter liner bags. (1) cat claws turn them into cat-DIY litter sifting bags; (2) one of my cats eats anything sheet plastic - ziploc bags, shower curtains, grocery bags - so liners violate the "no plastic bags in the house" rule; (3) I use clumping litter which is scooped 2x/day for 3 boy cats; and (4) I wipe it down well with bleach wipes once per week. I will be dumping the litter and cleaning the whole pan this weekend.INITIAL IMPRESSION - Its huge. We will have the only cats on the block who get a suntan every time they take a poo. Yes, the light stays on all the time as long as its plugged in. Glad they sent a spare bulb! We had to add an outlet.TRANSITION - This arrived before we moved so I was able to get my cats used to it ahead of time. When it arrived, I put the litter bag in (I know - rule violation - but it came with a whole roll) and assembled it. I left the flipper door off to ensure my cats would use it. I placed it side by side with the old, open litter box. They began using it right away (and shredding the liners). After 4 days, I got rid of the old box. After 3 weeks, I put the flipper door on it. I put each of my cats in the box, pushing them inside, head first through the door. Each of them sat inside looking sad, like they were trapped in a cage, so I got treats and coaxed them out with a cheery voice as I pushed the top of the flipper door so they could see a way out at the bottom. It worked. They had no problems using it with the door on after that.2 MONTHS POST PURCHASE - Very happy with the purchase. I've held off posting a review until I could be sure that it works and that I will keep it. $180 is kind of steep for a litter box. Looking back, it was worth it. For the first few weeks I wasn't sure it was living up to the hype, but the flipper door was off, so I waited to test that. After putting the door on, and cleaning it twice a day, it does exactly as advertised. Highly recommend, would purchase again.

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this Cat Litter Box, the technology, and the prompt, dedicated service!The litter box is constructed to last for years to come. I have never seen a litter box that is so beautifully made! The technology that has been incorporated into this item, and what it does....lives up to all the descriptions. Because of the coating that covers the inside of the "Hood" and the UV light that is discretely installed inside the top of the "Hood" to activate the coating, it IS Truly a ODOR FREE LITTER BOX! The technology incorporated inside this Litter Box, kills all the Bactria, Viruses, and Microbes that are found in a cat box, which cause the odor, with this litter box it rids all the potential germs that the "Kitties" track into your home! I have found, having three kitties, that if I "scope" the litter once a day, I do not have to change the "Cat Litter" in the two boxes I have, only once a week! When I had three litter boxes, that were the basic boxes I have used until, until I discovered the ODOR FREE CAT BOX. I would have to change the litter in all three litter boxes, once a day, sometimes two or even three times a day. Those type of litter boxes, after just cleaning the box, and just one kitty use, would soon emit a horrible odor that would permeate whole house. I have almost paid for both of these ODOR FREE CAT BOXES, with the savings on having to not purchase so many bags of kitty litter every week! Not to mention the ordeal of having to clean a litter box after every litter change! I will never use any other kind of cat litter box. From the beautiful construction and the clean ease of use, well, there is nothing on the market that compares to these ODOR FREE CAT LITTER BOXES! I give this cat litter box 5 Stars!

We have two cats, a brother and sister, and we love them dearly. Their individual kitty litter boxes had been located in a laundry room / wife's office area between the attached garage and the house proper. The stench from that room was enough to knock you off your feet . The foul odor would seep into the house proper as well, My wife is fastidious and changed the litter in those two boxes frequently, washed the boxes on a regular basis and nothing helped. We tried every type of litter, sprays, odor eating blocks of every description and failed to improve our situation a bit. I began a study of alternate litter boxes and discovered the wide variety available. Hoods, no hoods, fans, no fans, vents, vents to the outside etc. etc. etc. and then I saw it. The NANO. The description made sense to me. No noise of a fan, no cutting holes in the walls to provide a vent and it's size suggested that it could handle both of our cats in the same floor space we had dedicated to the two litter boxes we currently had. So, let's try it. We placed the order, the box arrived a few days later and I replaced the two foul smelling boxes at once. Now, would our cats use the new box? We took the door off to make the transition as easy as possible. Guess what? It works. Both cats are using the NANO and even with the door off the odor is gone. When I come in from the garage it actually smells good.. We are going to allow the cats about two weeks to acclimate before we reattach the door but, door or not, the NANO is a blessing and that does not overstate how pleased we are with this purchase. We recommend this product to any one with a cat odor problem.
