I’ve had one of these for years now and it’s very handy. It works well to prevent spatters in the microwave and is super easy to clean. Yes, it’s very light, but I’ve had no trouble with it being somehow blown off my dishes in the microwave. And I don’t know why anyone would need or want to put it in the dishwasher! It easily scrubs clean with a drop of dish soap. It’s perfect for my purposes so I just ordered another one in case I ever rip this one.

Great for reheating plates of food. Note, do not let the mesh touch really hot things. It holds up fine when fats or steam splatter on it. I used it to heat something with cheese which got very hot and stuck to the mesh. Removing the cheese damaged it. But, after 20 years, it still works. I just wanted a clean/newer one. To clean, swish in soapy water, or just run hot water over it. It dries very quickly.

Just what I was looking for to replace ones that were so old and shredded.

don't put the screen in the dishwasher...there's a good chance it will blow around in there, land on hot areas and melt, burn, render it useless.

It is nice and sturdy and a good material. They do what they are supposed to do and stop spattering. Easy to clean and great price. Highly recommend.

These splatter shields work well. I clean them by washing them vigorously as I wash my hands at the kitchen sink, rinse, and air dry. They probably cost close to nothing to make but I still pay the asking price for them because they work and last a long time.
