Grow Food For Free: The sustainable, zero-cost, low-effort way to a bountiful harvest

I am a longtime gardener and this book is full of great tips and ideas. It’s perfect for any beginner, even children, as it’s full of pictures and ideas; it’s ideal for seasoned gardeners who need some inspiration.I read it cover to cover, not something one usually does with a gardening “picture book”, but it was so easy to read and entertaining! It is deceptively simple, but I anticipate using this as a reference for years. Well done Huw! This will be a gift to my gardening friends will enjoy!

Absolutely love these books. Huw has a great way of explaining the importance of being self sufficient. I bought all the books and adore his YouTube channel. So much to learn!

This book is very well written! I watched my first YouTube video with Hue on the 16th of this month and was hooked. He's so professional which is refreshing and he is great at teaching not only gardening but being mindful of repurposing items around you. On the 20th I bought his book "Grow Food for Free" and it came last night. I just read it cover to cover! I gave up gardening because of the expense. I'd go buy plants and would be talked into so many things I didn't need or want. After reading this book I realized this is what feels right to me! I have a pack of sticky flags and will be marking the items I need to work on now like a compost pile. Well done Huw, Amazon and everyone involved! Thank you for the inspiration and guidance!

Great Ideas in this book!

I love this book. As a beginner gardener it is a treasure trove of information. I found Haw Richards on YouTube and decided to get all the books available. I love to have the info in my hands for when I want to read and videos available when I need them. I’m very happy with my purchase. Thank you!

New to gardening? Have a budding young gardener in your family? Are you a teacher looking for simple ideas for your classroom? This book is full of wonderful ideas. Mr. Richards explains his ideas very nicely and the pictures are wonderful. What can be better than learning how to grow your own food potentially for free? Have you ever walked through the produce aisle of your favorite store and not been happy with the state of the food presented there? Learn how to grow quite a bit of what you want with the help of this book. While he is based in the U. K. his ideas work wonderfully here, across "The Pond." Mr. Richards also has a wonderful YouTube channel that will help you learn so many wonderful techniques.

I started into his books by way of Charles Dowding, and I really have enjoyed Huw’s honesty and freshness to gardening. We have a very small yard and limited space, but I have started trying to do some of the same techniques and ideas. I am excited to say that I am going to try and set up two composting bins in our backyard to use on our vegetable and flower beds. There is so much joy in gardening, and it helps in troubled times. Thank you, Huw, for the advice on garden pests, absolutely invaluable.

So many tips and information on building and designing gardens from beginning to end for beginner novice and pro. Love the youtube channel by Huwe Richards as well. He is a very talented guy who is passionate about gardening and helping others to grow organically as well. Bought a copy for myself and my mom as a Mother's Day gift.

I was pleasantly surprised by there new ways of growing food that also produces bigger yield’s when harvesting. I am still reading the books as so much to learn, and it’s written very clearly. It’s ideal for those growing in troughs or allotments.

I just started gardening and this book gives me a great introduction.
