A 4.5 star rating for woodworking and general shop use.
This is a 4.5 star rated double square set for woodworking and general shop use. At the $34.00 price point value makes this iGaging 4" and 6" set worth purchasing especially when comparing versus the Starrett 6" square alone for $80.00 - let me explain.I do own Starrett precision tools - 12" square, compass and center finder. These are high quality, highly accurate tools purchased in the 1990s and are outstanding in quality. However you have to pay a high price for it especially today in 2020 dollars.I needed a good set of squares I could use for marking mortise and tenon joints and doing layout lines for an old stand up closet I am refurbishing and for a table build project. Also to make blade/dado height adjustments on the table saw. I went on Amazon and researched Starrett and other brands - with sticker shock. I came across this iGaging set and read all the reviews, saw a few YouTube and Google search reviews too and decided to purchase this set vs the Starrett single 6" square at more than twice the price. My grandfather always told me to buy the best tools - that you can afford - and in some case the best is what you need. These iGaging squares are perfect for woodworking precision and general shop fix it projects. These are high quality squares. While the finish is a step below Starrett tooling as many reviews have noted, it is more than half the price. You get what you need with this set of squares from iGaging. I will definitely buy more iGaging branded tools in the future. Highly recommended for woodworking/general fix it.

Not the smoothest movement yet, but will improve with a little TLC
The first order arrived poorly packaged with a broken plastic box. Returned it immediately and received a replacement promptly. The new squares are a touch tight to move around but this will imrpove with use, tincture of time, a little polishing and some light lubrication. So far accurate and worth price. I am not an engineer so I can't measure the accuracy of the product out of the box .

What happened to my set ???!
I read all these glowing reviews about this set and I was extremely excited about getting it and having a good set like this for my shop, and reasonably priced as well! But……. I put my trusty lil Starrett 4” combo square and both the body’s on these squares were off by .4 or so degrees off of 90! WTF??? BOTH? There’s no way u can draw a straight line if the body is off by almost half a degree! I am honestly bummed by this. And knew these reviews were too good to be true! That’s why companies like Starrett are still around and able to ask 3 times the cost of what all these other tool companies charge for their “precision” tools. I was really excited to get these! Maybe I got a bad set ??? Maybe it’s my luck ?? Or could it be my karma ?? Well, I decided to give this iGaging another shot at my hard earned money. Please just send me a set that does what it is made to do and what you claim it does….?? Most of the reviews seem to all be sent a set that was true and square….to be continued, unfortunately. Hopefully part two of this review will be a happy ending. Wish me luck! -************After further review, the 2nd set I got was a complete 180 from the 1st set! These squares are ……well, for lack of a better description, square!! That first set must of been built on a Friday at 4pm by a trainee…… I like them tho. Feel solid in your hand. And they work.

I really love these.
I had 2 other combination squares that I owned but I was interested in a double square. So I tried these. I also noted that my 18 inch combination square from a big box store was noticeable not square. What surprised me about this purchase was how much I was going to like the 4 inch double square. It has become one of my favorite and most used shop items. I have no complaint about the 6 inch square but I have honestly barely used it. The 4 inch square is just so convenient. Both squares are square, accurate, and easy to read. The satin finish really helps with this. I love that the measurements go down to 1/64 of an inch. I would like to complain that the markings are hard to read, but it is not the device and rather my 50+ year old eyes. We don't like to admit to age but the device is great.

Exactly what you would expect, as advertised.
Great value for the money, do not expect super high quality these are not Starrett, but are so superior to the basic sets that the value is super. I use in the field and like the case they are in. For field work these are exactly what I wanted, better than the average, but not tool room quality. They hold their locations and do not slip. Took the scales and sanded with 360 wet dry paper to smooth the edges, they worked easier and felt better. For my needs these are great and like the purchase. I have tool room level of these in my shop and would not want to take a chance damaging in the field these are a great option for my field needs.

Great double square set
The iGaging 4" & 6" double square set with 4R steel blade is a must-have for precision measuring in woodworking and metalworking. The steel blades are incredibly accurate, and the 4R graduation marks make it easy to measure both inside and outside angles precisely. The build quality is top-notch, with a sturdy construction that feels great in the hand. Whether you're setting up machinery, checking squareness, or ensuring your joinery is spot on, this set delivers the precision you need. It's a valuable addition to any craftsman's toolkit.

Not very impressed.
Not super impressed with these. They do not slide smoothly nor do the adjustment screws turn smoothly. I bought these as an alternative to the more expensive Woodpecker which are nearly twice as expensive. However, I've never owned the Woodpecker brand so cannot compare them.I do have a 50+ year old USA made combo carpenter square with no brand on it which slides and adjusts as smooth as silk. That is what I was expecting with these iGaging squares.I did clean and apply a thin layer of lubrication in the slide groove and they do work better but still disappointed.
