California Design Den 100% Cotton Sateen Queen Bedding Sheets Set, White

Okay, so I’ve been on a mission to find high-end bedding without paying boutique prices, and these California Design Den sheets are it. If you’ve been eyeing Brooklinen or other fancy brands, save your money and get these instead. Quality-wise, they go neck-and-neck with the luxury brands for a fraction of the cost. Insanely Soft: Right out of the box, the 400 thread count cotton feels amazing—super silky, smooth, and breathable. They have that crisp, luxurious hotel feel that honestly just gets softer every time you wash them. Actually Stylish: The pinstripe pattern is subtle, clean, and makes the whole bed look instantly put-together. It looks way more expensive than it actually is. Great Fit: The 16-inch deep pockets actually stay put and don’t pop off the corners overnight. Plus, they have top/bottom tags so you aren't guessing which way the fitted sheet goes. If you want absolute luxury, amazing durability, and high-end style without paying top dollar, buy these. 10/10 recommendation!

These long staple sateen cotton sheets are the best. In fact, we’ve been using Brooklinen’s sateen $171 retail) and Tommy Bahama percale for two years and this brand knocked them both from our shared #1 spot as a favorite. They launder well, dry quickly on low temp, the pockets are deep enough for our very thick mattress & pad, so they fit perfectly around all four corners. They’ve been washed only once but I’ve never seen long staple cotton pill before and I hate that, so I don’t expect it with this set. For a sateen weave, they’re incredibly cool! The print isn’t what we’d normally select but just finding a set that’s so comfortable (we slept better!) was surprising enough. After getting the sheets on the bed I realized just how beautiful it is. I’m a little mad at myself for paying three times as much for what I used to think was an untouchable product as these were on sale. Perhaps duped into believing the hype from Wirecutter & Good Housekeeping that collect earnings from referrals. Well, lesson (hopefully) learned. Just glad to know we can return right here to Amz and pick up another set anytime. Def recommend

I love these sheets!!!! Impressive quality and exactly the color and print/stripes I was going for. I bought a set of percale sheets from the same brand and I wasn’t sure which I would like better, and honestly they’re both fantastic and plan to keep both. As for the sateen ones I’m reviewing here, I seriously love them. While the percale ones are definitely cooler (actually, a more accurate word would be colder. They are actually cold to the touch), these sateen sheets are not too heavy or thick, and I think hot sleepers would be perfectly fine with them! They are slightly similar to the percale when it comes to that “crisp” feeling, but not quite as crisp and rather more smooth and butter soft!!!! I don’t notice any sheen or shininess really that apparently sateen sheets have, but that could just be the lighting in my bedroom. I don’t care about that either way. They are incredibly well made with no loose threads or other issues as far as I can tell. High quality elastic around the fitted sheet that feels very durable. I anticipate they will last me a long time and I’m planning on buying another set! A couple things to note that could be relevant to you when considering to purchase: the pillow cases are not envelope closure, and you cannot buy extra pillow cases in this specific print. It looks like brand only sells extra pillow case pairs in the solid colors (for all of their different weaves) both on Amazon and on their website. I wash and replace my pillow cases often so this is my only slight disappointment, but it’s only because I love these sheets so much!

After eyeballing these sheets and the reviews for a while, they went on sale-further reduced from an already low price (we all know how expensive sheets can be). My thought process was of these sheets didn’t work out, I didn’t spend that much and it wouldn’t be a huge loss. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It took a bit to receive them, but they showed up yesterday and I immediately put them in the wash, and dried on low as instructed. They didn’t take too long to dry- and naturally, 100% cotton is going to be a little more wrinkly than others. That doesn’t bother me. I put these sheets on straight out of the dryer. I had zero issues with the fitted sheet fitting my mattress. The top sheet is not as wide as I’m used to, but it’s large enough. Now, the real test! We slept on them last night. They are so soft! Now, if you’re used to the sateen feel- this is going to be a little different. I’ve had all sheet ranges in the past from 1000 thread count, to 200 thread count. I sleep warm, so I need sheets that breathe and can’t use the 1000 thread counts. These sheets fit the bill perfectly! I felt like they are breathable, and I didn’t sweat. I was so cozy. In fact, I woke up a few times in the middle of the night just to move around in bed and relish in the coziness. They honestly feel like the sheets we’ve slept in at the Four Seasons hotel. Are they super thick? No. But I dislike thick sheets. They seem very well made and I have no concerns that they are going to last. Others have mentioned that they further soften with each wash. I’m looking forward to that and truly considering purchasing more and throwing away all of my old sets. I purchased the bright white, so I’ve had no issues with color as others have. They are truly bright white. I regret not purchasing these sooner!

California Design Den has the BEST Sheets on the market! They wash beautifully! Barely wrinkle in the dryer except for the top sheet hemmed areas. But....I iron the edges because I'm a perfectionist! I admit it...but they look perfect when the bed is made AND are so soft and crisp when sleeping on them! I cannot give these sheets enough stars for softness! The only sheet I will buy today is 100% cotton from CDD....period!!

I received a set of these sheets yesterday. Before purchasing, I read many of the comments, both 5-star and 1-star. My first impression was that most people like these sheets, but that so many of the comments were very subjective. As one person pointed out, his "crisp" is my "soft." Some of the reviews caused me to evaluate the sheets before deciding to keep them. I read the box and the insert. They suggested washing before use. All fabrics have filler that can add unpleasant odor and even texture to the fabric. These did smell badly, so into the washer they went. I agree, that the sheets, on arrival, were smelly. One wash took care of it. People complained about loose threads and poor finishing. I did see about 1/4 inch threads that were not cut closely to the stitching. But to complain about it, really? These are not $200 sheets, and if you want that kind of finish work, buy more expensive products. I can clip a couple dozen little threads if they bother me. One person complained that the sheets were really made of microfiber and that it's printed on the box. This is text taken out of context. The box says, "Why COTTON is the BEST CHOICE?" It goes on to compare cotton's good qualities with those of microfiber. See the image to read what the box REALLY says. The sheets do have a sheen to them. It is due to the long staple cotton fibers and the weave of those fibers. The listing says they are sateen. Sateen has a sheen. If you don't want sheen, don't buy sateen. They wrinkle. Of course they do! News flash: Cotton wrinkles. If you want a product that won't wrinkle, buy microfiber! But I will say that they wrinkle far (FAR FAR) less than other cotton sheets I've had. The color was exactly as expected. One person complained that the ivory sheets were not the right shade of off white. Off white, ivory, cream, and other terms are, again, largely subjective. There are many different colorations that fit into off white. One of the great things I noticed immediately after washing--the sheets were cut and sewn on the straight of grain. This means the hemmed edges don't pull on the bias making unsightly and frustrating folds in the hem. Well done! This is rarely the case, and it impresses me. Thank you, California Design Den. I found the sheets to my liking. They were (being subjective) soft and breathable. They came out of the dryer with minimal wrinkles. They fit the bed perfectly. Obviously, I have not had them long enough to speak to issues of pilling or longevity. But if they hold up and don't pill, I'll have new favorite sheets. Update: I've had these sheets for more than a year, so I thought I'd update my review. The sheets show no signs of pilling and they have proven durable. Yes, they wrinkle a bit in the wash, but being cotton, it is to be expected. These are my favorite sheets for all the qualities I've mentioned. As long as they are available--these are the only sheets I want on my bed.

The set is very well made from cutting to stitching. Exceptional quality workmanship. Pillowcases are generously proportioned and fit even overstuffed pillows. I ordered the teal and it is exactly the color I needed. I was also impressed that the linens were boxed and folded neatly rather than been plastic wrapped.

Very pleased. We washed and dried before putting on our guest room bed. I did smooth out the edges before drying and there was no need for drying. The color is great and the picture was pretty accurate. Recommend.

Very happy with this queen sheet set. They're a lot better than my old microfiber set which made me sweat, and feel apart after a few washes. The white colour is crisp and the deep pockets fit our thick mattress without any tugging. Pros: The 100% cotton breathes well so we stay cool through the night without waking up clammy. The fitted sheet stays put with its all-around elastic and doesn't bunch up at the corners. Cons: None! They're great. This is a good choice for anyone who wants breathable, comfortable cotton sheets that should hold up well over time.
