The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz [Illustrated] Paperback – Illustrated, January 27, 2014

Some parts are a bit strange and gruesome (not sure if appropriate for young children), but overall enjoyed the story. The classical movie is so different and really doesn't do justice to the richness and details of the original story. Although the movie was beautiful in it's own way.

a good short book to read a little of before bed every night, definitely enjoyed it and its illustrations !

This is not a facsimile of the original, this is more of a printed script, and some images are placed randomly from varying artists. The cover was misleading as I assumed it would just be a copy.Two stars, one for printing it, and two for the text. I did not review the text however so I may drop this rating if the text is not exact. I would only give three stars if this posting was more transparent and honest about what is inside? Maybe upload some photos for us so that you do not get such bad reviews? Not good. The only reasons I want to give stars is that of the text, which is not even related to the seller, and the seller is trying to make their money off of the writer so they should respect that we the customers are coming to this seller's listing for the writer and his content. If it is "some" of what we may be looking for I recommend you let us know.

Great story, horrible book. Looks like it was made using an old typewriter... more like a movie script than a book. EDITED: I recommend purchasing "The Annotated Wizard of Oz (Centennial Edition)" hardcover book instead. Not only will you get the original illustrations but also the backstory behind the story. the Annotated Centennial Edition is great for adults especially after reading the story to children.

This book is an immense disappointment and a waste of money.Truly, it appears as if someone typed the story in courier new font, photocopied illustrations from the original Book of Wonder, and had the entire mess bound at Kinko's. This is absolutely not the original World of Wonder book. The item is unsuitable as a children's Christmas gift.

Wonderful story, in the second grade our teacher Mrs. Ericson read Baum's books to us after lunch and before nap time, brings me back! Wow has the world changed since then!

If you know what this book is about, you won't be disappointed.

Very disappointed in this book. My first thought upon looking inside is "this must be a fake!?" Or at least a misleading product. It looks like someone has typed and printed this themselves and has inserted graphics from a few different wizard of oz stories (in black and white, 9 total) that don't match with the story and are different drawings of the characters. I have never received something like this from amazon but it is clearly not the book as shown in the image despite this picture being printed on the cover.
