The Stray Dog: A Caldecott Honor Award Winner

My children loved this story when they were kids, so I bought it for a friend's new granddaughter. Great book, received on time.

Good story. Great for vocabulary and concept development, as well as, for developing inferencing skills in kids with special needs.

This is the sweetest story of a family who rescues and gives a home to a little lost dog. A beautiful story. Soft watercolor pictures. It makes a great baby gift.

A must have! Especially great for any animal lover or any one who has loved a "second hand" dog. I have multiple copies of this, just in case something happens to the other.

Excellent 2nd grade reading book.

My favorite book was to be a gift and it is bent at corners, folded, looks terrible, so sad if it was packed with a piece of cardboard to protect it, this could have been prevented.

The story and the illustrations - well deserved medal

Lo he comprado para regalarlo a mi sobrina. La historia es una anécdota, pero el ingenio de los niños protagonistas resulta original y bonito.

Ich finde dieses Buch sehr ansprechend, da es wie im wirklichen Leben auch sehr oft so ist, dass die Tiere ihre Menschen finden und aussuchen. Die Bilder sind sehr nett und aussagekräftig, der Text ist kurz und einfach. Ich habe das Buch für den Einsatz im Kindergarten gedacht, aber noch nicht erprobt. Ich denke, dass es bei den Kindern gut ankommen wird. All das zu einem günstigen Preis.

Gran libro con un bonito mensaje, perfecto para trabajar cómo se pueden sentir los animales abandonados. Me ha encantado. Muy recomendable.
