Great product, great value.
Love the concept of a recovery seed STAMPED into titanium, a metal which won't rust or corrode. And a melting point over 3000°F. Average temp of a house fire is 1100°F, with peaks between 1,200 and 1,800°F. Meaning the plate would survive a fire even if it wasn't locked in a safe. One minor complaint is the really tiny punch set included with the kit. Almost too small to read (2mm??), especially if you don't use good technique while doing it. I practiced on some scraps of metal first, decided it was a lost cause. Ended up using a 3mm (1/8”) set which was much more readable. But the etched blocks spacing would easily allow a 4mm (5/32”) or even 5mm (3/16") . (See attached picture, their 2mm on top, my own 3mm below.) Suggest purchasing only the plates, and get a larger punch kit elsewhere. Important -When you actually punch the letters, use a solid smooth metal backing plate for best results. Bench block, jewelers block, anvil, metal vice, or anything similar. Attempting to do this with a wood backing (or rubber, concrete, carpet, etc) is going to result in a warped plate and dimpled characters.

Best customer service
I cant give this enough stars. First of all the kit works exactly as advertised. We did have a hiccup i got 2 of the same letter. When I reached out I not only got an immediate response but they same day they shipped me put the correct letter. Superb customer service and I could not be happier! If I ever need another one of these kits I wont order from anyone else. This company goes above and beyond for thier customers!

Pros and Cons
I wanted to secure my wallet's recovery seed phrase using an affordable but durable cold storage option. I purchased the ColdTi plates to stamp and store my seed, and here is my review after using them: Pros: - Sturdy metal construction - The grade 2 titanium plates feel extremely solid and secure. Gives me peace of mind. - Grid layout - The organized letter/number grid makes stamping the seed phrase easy and accurate. Well designed. - Includes screws - The two plates attach securely together with included screws for compact storage. - Affordable price - At around $40, this is very budget-friendly compared to other metal seed storage options. Great value. - Duplicates for multiple locations - I like that two plates come in the kit so I can store one off-site for redundancy. Cons: - Stamping takes time - Converting my seed words to numbers and carefully stamping took a couple of hours. - Very permanent - Any stamping errors require starting over with new plates. No erasing possible. Overall, the ColdTi plates provided me with affordable and durable cold storage for my wallet recovery phrase. The materials are top-notch and design is well-executed. I would recommend them to anyone securing cryptocurrency. Hope this review helped!

Titanium? You sure about that? (If it is, it's all a bunch of hype)
As others have pointed out with pictures, I also have a very warped "titanium" plate after I relatively lightly hammered half of the 24 words. I'm not even hitting it hard enough to be visible from the backside, like others have. Does it work? Yeah. Could I do the same thing with a piece of thin steel? Yup. Also, this "titanium" is so thin that, if you're buying it because titanium can stand 1500-whatever degrees, I don't think this is going to do it. It's just too thin. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, if you decided to use a piece of steell instead, and it came into contact with fire at a temperature high enough to melt steel, long enough to melt steel, you aren't storing your seed phrase properly anyway. if it wasn't hammered and bent up, I'd return it. For sure.

Might not have all the pieces but CS is good
First one I received had one punch left in it, the other ones were MIA. Went through the link/customer service provided and got a replacement quickly. The plates work well but are thin. The punches aren’t super deep so you’ll get some haloing from the outer edge if you hit too hard. Be careful not to hit to punch too hard, it will imprint a bit on the back. It wasn’t readable but made a blemish and the plate will warp as you go. You just bend it back or flatten it with a hammer. Not sure how it does on other materials. Get ready for a long adventure if you’re doing a seed phrase, took a little back pain and a few beers in the garage but overall did its intended job. Recommend doing on a hard surface in the garage; don't do this on the kitchen counter.

Great Deal Compared to Every Other Cryptocurrency Seed Storage
This is the recovery seed storage to get. Follow their tutorial with a 3 to 5 pound steel mallet, not a carpenter’s hammer. Hit the punch one time really hard and you’ll get a nice, deep letter. Don’t hit it several times softly. Punch will move around. Make sure you get it in the right spot in the correct orientation, then give it a good solid whack. Do not buy “CryptoSteel” seed storage or any steel seed storage product. Steel corrodes easier than titanium, yes even stainless steel, and titanium has a higher melting point (depending on alloy). But more importantly, CryptoSteel does not provide permanent seed storage because it is composed of multiple pieces that you have to assemble and lock in place with screws. If it gets damaged/crushed and falls apart, or if it accidentally gets opened and the letters fall out, you’re screwed! You just scrambled your seed. Good luck remembering the words! The only good way to use metal seed storage is to use a hammer and letter punches to punch the letters into a titanium plate. Acid etching is not good enough. What if your house burns down? Soot or other residue may obscure the etching. You may be able to clean it and make it legible again, but I wouldn’t count on it. I would only use a punch to imprint the seed on the titanium plate. Remember, CryptoSteel is like 6x the price of ColdTI, and it does not provide adequate security against edge cases, like those I’ve mentioned. Buy smart!

Great deal. Another layer of loss prevention.
Ordered 3 of these and just stamped my first one tonight. Converted my BIP-39 seed to numbers. Check and triple checked, then stamped them in slowly. Then checked the stamp against the seed again. Remember, ONE good hit, not a bunch of small ones. I ordered a full alphabetic stamp kit, a 3lb club hammer and a steel stamping block of steel. I had to line up and re stamp a few characters due to off angles or strikes, but you can't tell. It was fairly easy to do. I was able to line up the stamp perfectly again if it needed just a little re strike. You can see the slightest mark on the back side of the plate under the stamp. It looks like a tiny block where someone maybe rubbed a little steel wool or something and in no way can you tell what the characters are on the other side. My plates came out PERFECTLY flat. Reading a lot of reviews here with people's plates curling during stamping. My guess is that they weren't using a hard steel plate behind the ColdTi strip. I bought a metal stamping block here on Amazon for $17. Totally worth it. My rating for this is very high, because to get this kind of high melt temp metal, screened with a nice grid for your seed words for $39 seems very reasonable. If I had to nitpick, I wish I could make my screw hardware pull tighter and one of my screws came with part of it missing the blacking. Used some Birchwood Casey Super Black and it looks great. I would recommend to anyone needing to get rid of some paper wallets and wanting another layer of loss protection. I'm glad that I bought them.
