A great tarot card set for newbies and more!
This is my first tarot deck. I absolutely love the artwork and the guidebook offers wonderful descriptions and messages of the cards. The artwork is detailed and wonderful. Modern yet stays true to older art. I use this almost daily and am never let down in the messaging or the draw options provided in the guidebook. A great deck for anyone getting into tarot.

Exceptional Quality
I am collector of tarot decks and will say that I am very impressed with the quality of this deck (especially considering the price point). I find the imagery over all pleasing. Several cards are stand outs with only a scant few that, for me personally, are a miss. This deck has bright energy right out of the box and is appropriate for novice and intuitive readers. I was drawn to the color palette and illustration style and greatly appreciate that it is gender and race inclusive. The book (b/w), while small in size, includes upright (light seer) and reverse (shadow seer) meanings plus an illuminating paragraph and affirmation for each card. Nice sturdy box. Cards, book, and box are finished with a matte laminate that will protect and keep them looking good for a very long time. At times I prefer a more sophisticated deck however, I believe this deck will become a friend that I will enjoy into the unforseeable future.

This ARTWORK though “drool”
Okay... Well I heard about the inconsistencies about the card stock on the deck. I held my breath opening this package. I’m one of the many that missed out on the self published and I’m still heart broken about that. Now on the card stock of these... starting from the back card “king of pentacles.” All the way to the 4 of cups does have one bend line through every card at the top of this deck. Something happened and it doesn’t make me happy, BUT pressing with both fingers straightened out the problem to the point I’m pretty much okay with it. “FYI, I’m extremely picky with my cards being picture perfect.” “Also good care stock means everything to me.” Any deck I have received with damage straight out of the box there is always way more issues. Not with these... The card stock is forgiving. You can bend it the way you want it. It doesn’t show finger prints. The edges don’t look as if the color will crack/chip off, they feel smooth and honestly I believe they will be able to take a soft beating without damage. That being said it’s scary to riffle shuffle these. They bend a little too much and I don’t want to hurt them. Would I be mad if Hay House made the card stock even better with so many people having so many issues? NO!!! I would be so happy and it would prove someone finally is willing to do the right thing for a amazing deck (art) that I truly believe could go down in time as a favorite for many, many people. New tarot readers and old. I have not held this deck in my own hands until now and it gave me chills from how perfect this art work is. I almost wouldn’t change a single thing. That never ever happens. I do wish it had the first ten of swords, but even with that I understand why it changed and I think I can learn to love the art that is used here. I had a personal connection to the first ten of swords. I came a crossed the first image forever ago on google and I saved it immediately without even knowing it was for a tarot deck. I’ve had allot of trauma in my life, I never saw color in the image I just understood the pain and process but anyways This deck would be a amazing gift for someone just starting out and it would make any tarot lover fall deeply for this stunning deck. It would be perfect to bring to any group of people for readings never having to worry if this deck would be “too much” for anyone’s taste. Ugh I can’t put into works how beautiful this art work is. Hay House I sure hope you read reviews and if allot of people are unhappy I sure hope you make better card stock for this one. I can’t see In any way that being a money loss what so ever. This is a deck I would replace time and time again and buy for anyone that it seems fit. It is true that this card stock is not as sturdy as other Hay house decks. I have been way more unhappy with other card stock from other people messing up beautiful art. I strongly believe this deck is one million percent worth making perfect! I’m pretty confident many others will strongly agree.

This everday workhorse is beautiful and super accurate.
This deck is packed with life and is really well suited for surface-level topics like career, love, intuition and psychic experiences, etc. (I usually clarify with RWS when it's called for and for the deep psychological and truly spiritual things, I find the Jodorowsky-Camoin Tarot de Marseille indispensable!) But this deck is a workhorse as most of your inquiries (or your client's) will be dealt with almost solely with Chris-Anne's lovely reinterpretation of the English School tarot. The card stock is good for riffle shuffling if your hands are large enough (it's a thick deck), and it has a matte finish so it doesn't slide easily in the beginning, until you break them in a bit. The most important thing with any tarot deck though, is it's accuracy, and this thing is right on the money every single time. This tells me the symbolism and imagery is both intuitive and well thought out. Worth the cost even at full price. If you like the artwork, just buy it and enjoy!!!

Beautiful Art!!! Cardstock Questionable! Check Updates. (Added Update*) + (Update**)
To Chris-Anne, Bravo in the release of your hard work through a publisher! To Hay House, Boo in the horrible choice in card stock. I am highly disappointed in the flimsy card stock used to present this wonderful art work with its well executed visual messages. I did not know about these cards until recently, or I would have happily purchased them during the fund raising process, because all of the videos that I have watched and drooled over have reported Great Card Stock, shuffles easy, Beautiful work, etc. The card stock that I received looks and feels cheap, and the "die cut" curls a bit inward on the Image side, indicating that they were cut/punched with the backs facing up. I wouldn't dare shuffle these cards, because I know from experience that these are likely to chip on the edges very easily. I also noticed that the cards have strange bends throughout this deck, further causing me to think more about not shuffling them for fear of premature damage. The box is beautiful! The book looks well done, however, I have not opened it because unfortunately I am going to return the cards I have anxiously awaited, and stick it out for a renewed and much better cardstock. You can do it Hay House! I KNOW you can! Meanwhile, Chris-Anne, thank you for all of your gorgeous work, and I look forward to getting this beloved deck again in the near future. UPDATE* Hay House has promptly contacted me about a replacement deck for early next year 2020! I am very grateful, and I look forward to enjoying my new and long awaited cards. I have got the good FEELS! I will update after receiving. UPDATE ** Hay House replacement deck arrived just shortly after the new year, and I am pleased with the communication and the quality of this deck! The cardstock has a similar look as the original mass produced deck, only it is a tad thicker, therefore more durable. No bends, no inward curled edges, and cards are flush cut! Yea!!! I waited a little while before doing this update because I wanted to work with this deck a bit to test durability because I am not used to shuffling this type of cardstock. It has what I might call a high quality cardboard look and feel, much like the cardboard decals that come with some toys, or the very old paper doll punch out sets from the 70's. (Yep, I am that old.) The images look fantastic, same as before, they shuffle well, I shuffle the cards face side up (when using the rifle shuffle method) because that is the way of least resistance; the paper grain works easiest that way. Otherwise, if I rifle shuffle face down the cards are stiff and slap downward in chunks. Overall, I am happy with my replacement deck.

Beautiful, Very Colorful
These have turned out to be a lovely addition to our collection. The artwork is very professional, the colors are vibrant and bright, and there's something to be seen in nearly every card, beyond typical card meanings. After using these, yet again, with a friend who has a great deal of experience to share, I found them to be remarkably inspirating and then I turned around and recommended them to a few out-of-state relatives, two of whom ran out to buy these as soon as they were able, because they focus the contemplative mind while being fun to use. They're so colorful that they put you in a positive mood if you're looking at them for a half an hour. And everyone saw something different in them to inspire or focus them. These are truly lovely.

Gorgeous and Diverse
I absolutely love these cards. I am a Rider Waite girlie, but wanted something more diverse to work with. I love the energy and the colors. They are my new favorite deck!

Great alternative tarot deck.
When I came across this deck I was drawn to it, the alternative artwork and colours. When it arrived I wasn't disappointed. I wondered if I would feel the same when they were in my hands. Firstly, the box, I like it, it is a proper box with top and bottom rather than one unit. The box was cellophane sealed and wasn’t damaged in transit. On opening the box, it feels nice, it’s matt smooth, thick and sturdy. The guidebook included is good quality, black and white with a good amount of detail of the light and dark explanations of each card with a small sentence encapsulating the meaning of that card at the end. It also has some ideas of alternative card spreads and information on how to use the cards. The cards themselves feel nice, are deeply rich and vibrantly colourful. I love the artwork which is alternative, diverse and intuitive, it really depicts what each card represents so they are very good and easy to read. I am absolutely loving this deck and I connected with them straight away.

You won't regret buying this deck!
I love everything about it! It arrived quickly and safely. The packaging was a bit annoying, shrink wrapped, but easily dealt with. The cards, however, *chef's kiss* The cards were immaculate. They've clearly fixed the issues they were having with misprints, and other such things, as my deck is absolute PERFECTION. The art, the colours - bold and brilliant. The backs of the cards just seem to suit the whole theme quite well. The guidebook, yes the deck DOES come with a guidebook, is absolutely adorable. I love the idea of Light and Shadow, and these cards are just PERFECT all together with this in mind. The cards shuffle nicely (hand to hand, some of us are not cut out for casino-style shuffling 🤷♀️) and feel of a good cardstock. I haven't gone a day without these cards, honestly 👌
