Q: What is the depth of coverage of the Nuvo Iron 7.5" x 7.5" down the post? One reviewer said it is about 1/2 inch but the picture makes it look deeper.

The depth is 1 inch, and looks very balanced on the total post cover. I am 100% happy

The liner provided with this post cap will allow this post cap to fit 7.5" x 7.5" or 8"x8"

Q: I built a hollow "box" post out of 9' long Trex boards thst measures 6.5" x 6.5". Do you have a post cap to fit or a 6.5"x6.5" "collar" trim piece?

I have used a lot of these caps in different sizes, but have not seen one specifically for a 6.5x6.5. The Nuvo Iron PCP14 cap fits over a rough sawn true 6x6 post, and measures 6.1" x 6.1" internally. You could make this one fit by trimming 1/4" from all 4 sides of the post, x 5/8" tall.
