I do voice over work, is this good for that? Does it pickup background noise ?

I have found it to be extremely high quality with little if and ambient noise. That being said it is only70-100 dollars but it does not perform that way

you will need a usb c hub that has usb 2 ports. Search in Amazon "usb c hub macbook pro". There should be a few models you can choose.

Is this mic good for gaming ?

It will work well with gaming / podcasting etc. You don't necessarily need to speak directly in front of the mic. It is sensitive enough to pick up your voice 12 inches away.

What would i need to connect it to my xbox?

xbox allows 3rd party usb mics to be connected via their usb ports. It should be relatively safe to say that the NEAT bumblebee mic will also work. You don't need any additional cables, the mic comes supplied with a USB cable.
