Ok, so my Hero 8 turned up on Monday the 14th October :)The first thing to buy a waterproof housing for it. I was expecting since the camera is so new for a case not to be available for a while, but the itrunk actually fits the Hero 8 perfectly, not else much to say really other than its a waterproof case

Awesome case, only issue is the touch screen however wouldn't effect my use for it. I am using this for Airsoft and so I can safely say at around 350fps on .28g BBs from around 3-5 metre. It held up fine, 0 mark or cracks!

Bought to protect my new GP8. Slightly bulky compared to the camera itself, not sure what the official case is like. Three benefits I hadn't even considered before I bought the case. You can use the camera without a case but; 1. once in the case, you don't accidentally activate the touch screen and change settings (you can lock this on the camera, so not really a big deal) 2. in really cold weather it provides some insulation for the camera allowing the battery to last longer 3. the buttons are nicely raised, so even with gloves on you know where they are and when you have pressed them (I struggle with this wearing mountain bike gloves when the camera isn't in the case.

Works really well. Very protective, really tight seal, allows good image quality but obvs not great sound. I can't remember it having a touch screen. You can press the record button but that's about it. So you'll need to set all features before you put your GoPro inside the case.

Very disappointed with this case due to the terrible lens flare caused by the plastic and the gap to the gopro lens as seen on the picture. The case itself is Ok pretty good quality but I thin the issue is because the Gopro already has glass screen and adding a second causes big problems. From now on I'll use the Hero 8 without the case!

bought to take on holiday but with the current situation unable to test but will update as and when this epidemic comes to an end ,,looks well built and fits well seals very tight ( which is good)

Great build quality, snug fit and very tough in its design. I use this for go karting at high speeds and its not let me down so will happily purchase again.

It is a must if using the Go Pro under water as you cannot trust the battery compartment lid. Also great extra protection fir the camera lense.
