I've only used it once, but so far, so good. The birds seem to be scratching a lot less. Personally, I think it's safe ... I have finches so being such a small bird, I think they would react to chemicals more so or more easily than larger birds. I just followed the directions and they seem fine. I don't think you're supposed to put them in a bath of it ... just spray 3 or 4 times from a distance of 11 to 16 inches. I also sprayed the entire cage (removed all food and water first). This small bottle will last a long time.

Good for more than mites
No mite problem here but those super tiny, fast running crazy ants. Someone recommend this and it worked. In Hawaii they are everywhere. I follow the dilution instructions, spray around and inside cage (birds out), let dry and at least for us, no more ant problem.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR BIRDS DO NOT BUY. FOLLOWED ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND THEY KILLED MY EXPENSIVE BIRDS.
We purchased this product. Followed all instructions and woke up next morning to some of my birds DEAD. Lost over 7K

It's worth a try.
I used this to wipe down bird cage after treating my Birds. They seem it scratch less.
