From "It Is to Write"
Best-selling author Robert Liparulo's opening endorsement, "Sandi Rog has done it again..." is spot on. She really has.Book Two in the "Iron and the Stone" series, and sequel to the award-winning "The Master's Wall," "Yahshua's Bridge" follows our beloved characters, David and Alethea, as they experience the trials and the victories of the early Church. This time, however, a previously supporting cast steps to center stage and transports us from Rome to Alexandria to the depths of desert-bound Egypt, and beyond.Young Alexander has come into his own. Tutored in the physical arts of the warrior and the spiritual disciplines of a believer by his mentor and de facto father, David, 'Zander' discovers himself and his surprising past--but that's not all. He also discovers his future in the person of David and Alethea's daughter, Elianna. Elianna's take on this? Well, she's not so sure.On her own journey of self-discovery, Elianna sheds the shackles of societal convention. When Zander disappears, her persistent hope in his return to the fulfillment of his promise dwindles. Meantime, David whisks her away from Rome in the charge of protectors on a journey from her enemies and from what he has become. But he doesn't count on the Lord's intervention, as so few of us do. Hold on for the ride, folks. Oh, yeah. It's dizzying.Ms. Rog's in-depth research pairs wonderfully with her exceptional storytelling ability to yield a gripping 1st-century tale of betrayal and love, failure and faith. You don't read about early Rome, you feel the paving stones beneath your sandals as you race with Elianna through the streets. The wind-blown sands of the Egyptian heartland prick your face, and you blink in the intense rays of its blinding sun with Zander as he seeks his heritage.Ultimately, the bittersweet conclusion will have you cheering and brushing the tear from your cheek at the same time. Few authors can achieve that so fluidly. Ms. Rog does.Highly recommended for the historical-Biblical fiction enthusiast. You won't be sorry you took the ride. Great read.

Beautiful, Captivating & Intriguing!
YAHSHUA'S Bridge (Iron and the Stone, Book 2) by Sandi Rog ~ And the story continues! Yay! Just as beautiful, captivating and intriguing as the first book. I do have to say she had me afraid there with one theological aspect of the book but she worked it out through the story. The characters just like us at times can have misconseptions on their faith and salvation. But rest assured that when we are saved we are held firm in the hands of Christ, no one can snatch us away and there is no sin the Bible tells us too big, (other than blaspheming the Holy Spirit) that we cannot be forgiven of. Great is our God and his love, grace and mercy are amazing! Thank Him that He is always with us and is always waiting for us to turn to Him. I also thank Him for the gift that He gave to Sandi Rog to write this series and to us to be able to read it. I am sure her own faith journey through very difficult circumstances helped shape this story. I am so grateful that she was open to Him to be the moldable clay and let Him shape this story and trust Him to work out the out come not only for the book but for her life as well. Another great read!

A wonderful
I really enjoyed reading this book, which is Book 2 of the Iron and Stone Series. SANDI Rog has a wonderful way of weaving her stories together and makes for a real page turner.SPOILER ALERT...There were a few parts where a character dies and the author describes the afterlife of being taken to heaven. At first I was uncomfortable with it but as I pondered more on it I realized that there is a Spiritual battle constantly going on around us. It brought that to life in a very real way, and for me made me realize that there are things of this world that we are completely unaware. Sandi also did a wonderful job of relaying how powerful God is, and how we should be afraid of his awesome power, but in the same sentence know that He is a God of love and mercy. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because there were several grammatical errors that made it a little distracting. At one point in the middle of a sentence it said "(delete comma)" . Took me a moment to figure out this was a edit note to herself and while the comma was gone the editorial note was not.

God Be Praised
I have really been blessed by this series. Sandi has accomplished what she set out to do and that is to show how much Almighty God loves his creation! She has shown, in great detail, the selfless love of Jesus and the guiding and protective hand of the Holy Spirit! May God get all the glory and praise from these books as I am sure that is what she intended when she "set pen to paper", so to speak. Bless yourself by reading these books!!

Interesting but repetitive!
It was a bit repetitive and the good characters faced a horrible fate or ending. These characters didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy life. Thank you

This well edited rendition of love, hate
Heart rending and personal. This well edited rendition of love, hate, romance, life and death and beyond had me is tears at times and wishing at times that it could be a true rendition of the afterlife. This was smoothly done in gentle words, as the author tied together many characters with varied personalities and problems, spaced over years and distances and brought them all together is a satisfying and hoped for finish. This was full of surprises and solutions and I would recommend it to anyone and a very good read.

When you read this book, make sure nobody is around.
I never cried so much in my life when reading a book. Sandi Rog is incredibly gifted; I will never again miss her books. The third book in the series will be released in 2013 and I will for sure buy it. The story continue from the first book (The masters wall) and you have to read that first. There is a beautiful ending but also a very sad ending. And the romance in the last quarter of the book was good, although I think that could have been longer. I cannot wait for the next book. Wonder what or who will be the main characters in the third book - a year is so long to wait!
