The Headspace Diet: 10 days to finding your ideal weight

Very good read to set your head on the right track for "dieting"
I bought the book because I'm already in love with the Headspace guided meditation classes, and since I've seen a lecture on TED where mindful diet was recommended. I wanted to learn what exactly it means and how to implement it in daily life. I think the book gives good techniques, but it is something you have to practice to see results. Of course, that's the case with all other "normal" diets. I think I will keep coming back to this book to remind myself what is important when it comes to eating and body image.

Not exactly what I expected.. I thought it ...
Not exactly what I expected.. I thought it would be more practical.. turns out it's a lot of explanation that I didn't find very interesting... and the only 'useful' part is the last chapter of the book.I thought it was a lot of advertising for the Headspace app- which is fair as this is Andy's app.I am a user of the app already but if you're not, you're going to read a lot about it without knowing what it is..

mindful eating but too complex
in short it is dieting but mindful dieting when you are not distracted, listening to your true feelings, breathing deep before you eat something etc.too complex for the modern life :(

Finally a long term programme!
The Headspace Diet is one of the best books about eating (not dieting) that I ever read. It doesn't tell you what to eat, it just builds a foundation for you to control your choices, to exert your willpower over eating, and with that, you can decide whether to eat healthy or not. It also withdraws from judgement, which makes keeping your decisions easier (guilt very often leads to indulgence).

Great companion to the Headspace Meditation
I follow the Headspace plan for meditation and it has really been a meaningful change for me. Andy lays out how to use some of the same techniques in your battle with food.

Excelente!
Uma abordagem profunda sobre ato de comer. Alimentação consciente requer intenção e consistência, que podem nos levar a grandes transformações em como a gente vive a vida. Agradeço muito pelos ensinamentos valiosos - milenares - reunidos no livro.

... relationship with food more specifically and this is an amazing book to do just that
I already own the "Headspace guide to meditation and mindfulness" but I wanted to reflect on my relationship with food more specifically and this is an amazing book to do just that ! I love how Andy balances information with anecdotes and how he makes the reader feel guided without ever being close to being condescending or moralizing.

I love this book
I love this book!It is the practice of mindfulness and bringing it to daily life!Andy Puddicombe is so humble, telling his story and his struggle around food body image. It is so realI love chapter 4, inner dialogues of different foodie groups around food. It is hilarious and so true!

Excellent book!
As a serial (failed) dieter I found this book to help me in so many areas of my life, not just in losing weight. I like to read books from beginning to end to get an overview of what's inside before actually doing any of the exercises, and have already noticed some changes before even doing any of the recommended activities! The book basically introduces you to meditation and explains how we spend most of our lives reacting to thoughts and feelings without stepping back and making a clear, calm and informed decision on how to react if at all. After reading the book through for the first time, I have already began questioning & identifying the reasons why I over ate in particular circumstances and feel that by developing mindfulness I will eventually be able to make a decision as to whether I wish to react which is something I had never previously questioned. The practice can also be applied to other aspects of your life such as work stress, family life- in fact everything! I have subscribed to a two year programme as I intend to fully embrace the principles of mindfulness. However, the promotion at the end of the book to get your first three months free doesn't work hence the awarding of 4 stars instead of five. Still worth the subscription fee regardless of the discount I feel!

Good, but a little repetitive
This is less of a diet book and more of a mindfulness/meditation book with a focus on being mindful while eating, but it's a very good one. It's easily accessible to novices to mindfulness, but even if you've read about it before, the food-based meditations are interesting and a bit different. If you've read Get Some Headspace by the author you find much new stuff in this, and the same goes for anyone who's already doing the Headspace meditation series online. In fact, there's a group of meditation sessions specifically about food/eating, but if like me you like to have a book, this is worth getting. Even if you don't need to lose any weight but just want to be a bit healthier, this will give you some tools for being more aware of what goes in your mouth, which is probably for the better. And the chocolate exercise is always fun to do :)
